Publisher's summary

The abridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Johnnie Walker's fantastic autobiography, read by the man himself.

Johnnie Walker is an inspiration. One of the best-known and most beloved broadcasters in Britain, the charismatic BBC Radio 2 Drivetime DJ has achieved legendary status with a hugely loyal following thanks to his tireless pioneering of new music, his warm and passionate personality and his soothing voice. Having thrown away the rule book as a teenager, Johnnie has always made decisions from the heart. As a result, he has had a brilliantly colourful life, with more ups and downs than a rollercoaster ride. In this memoir, he reveals all about his time with Radio Caroline, his drug addiction, his fight against cancer and his spiritual awakening. Honest, passionate and humorous, his autobiography will provide inspiring and entertaining listening to his millions of fans.

An honest sincere and amusing account

I've listened to Johnnie Walker on and off since the late sixties, and I've always liked what he did and the way he did it.This is no different,he is very honest and sincere.I always wondered what happened in the States and why he came back, and now everything is explained in detail.he went through a lot and still stuck to his beliefs in life and music. There are a couple of things that puzzled me,one is that there was no mention of Man,s Fight for Freedom and that when he was telling the story about Caroline coming back in the eighties,he seems to have got it wrong.Maybe this is due to the book being abridged. All in all it is a very well written (read) book and very enjoyable.
