It was pretty good

Surprisingly good listen despite the fact that is would have zero arousal for me. The main story was pretty good my only exception was the sex scenes the just weren't as hot and steamy as I was hoping for.

Over all the relationship between the characters was believable and the story was interesting.

Good... very good...

Great erotic story...but the angst... come on, just have smex already. I really liked this story, but I tend to like my doms to remain doms the entire time...ya' know. Not saying the the male hero of this story did a role reversal, but he became a little too sappy for me after he did not understand wha the heroine limits where. He didn't really hurt her, but scared her a bit... Then he kicks her out of the house, or returns her back to the auction house. WTF! Because he hurt her, he sends her back... WHAT!

It was a really good story though, but to reach that 4 or 5 star rating, l do not like to notice the little dumb plot moments... and unfortunately I did notice in this. Still worth the listen for all the great smexy scenes when he finally does smex her up...

Narration could have been better, but it was decent.

Good story, enjoyable but not amazing.

The performance by Cresida Wolf was great, she had a very interesting voice and did a very good male voice. The plot was okay, but it basically felt like Adam would just mess up, apologize, Ness up again, apologize again, etc. etc. but at the same time the female lead (can't even remember her name at the moment) talked about how much more of a Dom he was than any other man she had been with although it was clear be didn't do a very good job for most of the book. his prejudice against her from the beginning was irritating and made it unbelievable that he would even use the auction service in the first place. It kept me interested throughout and was unique in some of the BDSM play so that was interesting too.

A little to deep for my taste

Not a bad story. The narration was expectable. I would have enjoyed it if most the scenes stopped a little sooner then they did. To each their own.

Great intense book

Loved the story. Most memorable was the scene outside the auction house when Adam drives into to lot and finds Carlie and humbles himself to her.

Its nothing to sing about ,the book reads like it had potential to be great if the character build up was better .l felt no real romantic connection in the leads .

A pleasant surprise

I have to admit I didn't have high hopes for this book. I just buy the cheaper books in between more mainstream books because my husband complains about how much I spend. This one was a pleasant suprise. I liked that it actually was a love story. My complaint would be that some of the bdsm was to violent for my taste. It's a subjective issue though. Overall I enjoyed the book and wished it was longer.

Underdeveloped story and characters

It didn't make any sense for the characters to make life altering decisions without any development of angst or internal struggle. It didn't make any sense for a full time submissive to act so out of character ( the secondary submissive in the story )and it never made sense that the lack of bdsm experience wasn't addressed. Actually the lack of experience was commented on several times briefly, each depicting frankly a different level of experience. This was just another sign of poor storyline construction. It was just a story idea that's been done a hundred times and in this case done poorly. The author has written other books that were truly exceptional, so I was really disappointed.

I tried to give the narrator the benefit of pronunciation generated from another dialect however by the end I concluded the narrator simply did not have sufficient personal vocabulary to be able to pronounce a lot of words correctly.

I love this book turned my love for the lifestyle up even more. Can’t wait to read more
