A Gripping and Brutal Sequel

This series has been the epitome of 'question everything.'
No one knows who trust and information could quickly turn to misinformation.
This book kept me on me on my toes the whole time. The action was expertly articulated. Emotional beats top notch.
one of my favourite things about this book is that the character motivations/ambitions are all 'realistic' for the situations they are in.

Libby Webber is epically good at creating fully realized characters. None of them feel hollow or one dimensional. Which only makes it worse, as you witness your favourites try and survive the dangerous world, rocked by the Legacy, and Alliance.

Kat truly earned her P,O,V chapters in this book and takes "morally grey' to a whole new level. Her ambition and need for vengeance coupled with a deep need to clean house within the legacy.

Luke - another morally grey unfortunate - literally could not catch break.

Aeron - She grows so much throughout this story and we are very much reminded of how dangerous she truly is.

I am very much looking forward to diving into the next book!
