Publisher's Summary

Have you ever felt overwhelmed, suffocated, and stressed out by the amount of clutter in your life?
Are you ready to break free from the confines of having too much "stuff" but not sure where to start?

The truth is...you probably have too many things taking up unnecessary space in your life. But what you might not know is those things are weighing you down in more ways than one....

Think about it: All the dirty dishes piling up in the kitchen, those "just in case" items you keep in the garage, or Christmas presents you stuck in the back of your closet (which you knew you’d never use) aren’t just taking up physical space - they’re stealing your mental space, too.

Sure, you might be able to ignore all the clutter for a short while, but it’s only a matter of time before the messiness causes unwarranted stress, embarrassment, and anxiety.

However, it doesn’t have to be this way...clearing out the clutter to make space for more money, time, creativity, and relaxation is easier than you think.

In The Art of Minimalism you will discover:

  • How to effectively use the "Pomodoro Method" to simplify your minimizing process
  • The one thing you should do in the morning to create a "declutter domino" effect
  • A fool-proof 30-day challenge to effectively organize your space
  • Tips for spotting a "messy" relationship (and what to do about it)
  • Why a "cluttered brain" equals a cluttered home and how to clear the mental mayhem

Imagine...in just a few months from now, you could have a transformed space that’s stress-free, relaxed, and serene. Every time someone visits your home, they’ll continue to ask how you keep things so organized!

With easy-to-follow steps and a simple approach to minimalism, you too can experience the joyful and carefree life which comes along with tidying up.

Transform your physical and mental spaces into clutter-free paradise today!

Five Stars

I have not yet finished this book. But it is a good one for the practical application of downsizing the clutter in our lives. There are some good statements in the book for internalizing into a mantra in changing to this lifestyle.

Good One

This is an interesting book. Organized in short chapters so it's an easy read and it's certainly not technical. The most interesting angle is the stages of decluttering, or maybe the viewpoint is better.

To The Point Book

I have to say, this book was a game-changer for me. I've been following their blog for a long time and am a big fan, but this helped me understand how my collector archetype affects my particular habits. This is making it easier to apply their principles more broadly in my life.

Minimalism

I enjoyed the book. It approaches decluttering from a more psychological perspective, focusing on personality traits and how they affect the things we choose to own. Along with tips on how to work with your individual traits, there are also general tips on maintaining a Minimalist lifestyle. The photos are lovely and motivating.

Feeling Proud To Recommend It

There is some profound advice in this book, from simple to the warning that the whole process may take a lot of time and soul searching. The authors are kind and sane; the writing is simple and sometimes even moving. I highly recommend this book.

Well Done Author

If you're interested in decluttering or minimalism, this book will be inspiring and thought-provoking. Starting with the alluring and airy design, the authors will lead you through a series of questions, profiles of minimalists, descriptions of "archetypes" that help you understand your relationship to clutter, and philosophical essays on how to approach minimalism.

The Best Book

The irony that I saw coming before I ever ordered or read this has been a reality for the past three months. This book is now sitting on the floor in my living room with several blu-ray disc cases on top of it.

Made My Life Easy

I was very sad when I got to the end. My journey has been long and if I had had a resource like this earlier it would have been helpful. This book made everything simple and easy.

Awesome Book

I loved the book! I began to relisten as soon as I finished. I hope to convince the people in my life that gift-giving doesn’t mean giving more things. I checked the book out at my local library, as a minimalist could. I’ve always held on to too much stuff as a frugal person, taught to waste not, want not.
