Publisher's Summary

Have you ever felt overwhelmed, suffocated, and stressed out by the amount of clutter in your life?
Are you ready to break free from the confines of having too much "stuff" but not sure where to start?

The truth is...you probably have too many things taking up unnecessary space in your life. But what you might not know is those things are weighing you down in more ways than one....

Think about it: All the dirty dishes piling up in the kitchen, those "just in case" items you keep in the garage, or Christmas presents you stuck in the back of your closet (which you knew you’d never use) aren’t just taking up physical space - they’re stealing your mental space, too.

Sure, you might be able to ignore all the clutter for a short while, but it’s only a matter of time before the messiness causes unwarranted stress, embarrassment, and anxiety.

However, it doesn’t have to be this way...clearing out the clutter to make space for more money, time, creativity, and relaxation is easier than you think.

In The Art of Minimalism you will discover:

  • How to effectively use the "Pomodoro Method" to simplify your minimizing process
  • The one thing you should do in the morning to create a "declutter domino" effect
  • A fool-proof 30-day challenge to effectively organize your space
  • Tips for spotting a "messy" relationship (and what to do about it)
  • Why a "cluttered brain" equals a cluttered home and how to clear the mental mayhem

Imagine...in just a few months from now, you could have a transformed space that’s stress-free, relaxed, and serene. Every time someone visits your home, they’ll continue to ask how you keep things so organized!

With easy-to-follow steps and a simple approach to minimalism, you too can experience the joyful and carefree life which comes along with tidying up.

Transform your physical and mental spaces into clutter-free paradise today!

Not a minimalist book

This does not convey minimalist guidelines. It is a decluttering book. Some of the suggestions are good ones if you want to shuffle your stuff around or continue to maintain a high volume of belongings. For example hanging plastic shoe bags over the back of your car seat to hold stuff. But if you’re really looking to minimalism, this is not the right book. Also, since they sometimes go hand-in-hand, please note this book does not focus on eco-friendly ideas.

Not What I had Hoped

not a bad book but only about half of it is about actual minimalism. the rest of the book is about decluttering your mind, positive thinking and positive affirmations and though this is helpful it's not quite what I was looking for. great, lively narration kept my interest but was hoping for more on minimalism.

Not what I expected

This book seems more geared toward organization and hoarding rather than minimalism for the average person. The author recommended a lot of Pinterest like suggestions for organizing clutter with regular household items. Great ideas - but since the book is supposed to about minimalism and ridding clutter - seems contradictory to then give someone reasons to keep their junk so they can use it to store more junk. I did love the aspect of treating what you own well and how essential good, basic habits are. I just wanted more depth into the habits of minimalism and ideas for how to live effectively with less, which it did not cover in much depth.

Enjoyed It

I enjoyed listening to this book. While these principles and values are perhaps well-known (well, to most people), it's amazing how often we disregard them in our daily lives and this book serves as a good reminder of what really matters. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's very well-written, up to the point and hits on the main themes we should all keep in mind.

Excellent Book

An easy book to help you see that minimalism isn't about getting rid of things, but learning to keep the focus on what's important, making excess things unnecessary.

Everything is good

Assume everything was okay. No complaints. I wish I had the option of limiting future recommendations just to items I buy and ship to myself.

Not great

The organisation tips are actually ridiculous... like if I took that advice my house would be less organised than it is now.
