Publisher's Summary

Did you know the ancient Canaanites invented the alphabet?

The Bible references Canaan several times. For example, God commanded the Israelites to destroy the Canaanites following the Israeli flight from Egypt.

However, the actual history of this civilization doesn’t quite match theological sources. For one thing, the Canaanite civilization consisted of a multitude of different peoples from the same ethnic group but different cultures.

The region also had frequently redefined borders, and very few written records remain of Canaan, making it difficult for scholars to research. It can therefore be hard for people to find an easily understood and cohesive resource on this fascinating civilization.

But that is about to change. In this new captivating history audiobook, you will discover the truth about the ancient Canaanites.

The Ancient Canaanites: A Captivating Guide to the Canaanite Civilization That Dominated the Land of Canaan Before the Ancient Israelites includes:

  • Revolutionary findings provided by modern archaeological detective techniques
  • A simple explanation of what Caanan is and where it's located
  • Fascinating discoveries of Canaanites artifacts
  • Remarkable insights into their government and social structure
  • Startling theories about the Bronze Age collapse
  • What there is to know about the culture of the Canaanites
  • The main conflict with Canaan that occurs early in the Bible and more shocking mentions in the Bible
  • Religion and beliefs
  • And much, much more!

Get the audiobook now to learn more about the ancient Canaanites!

Enjoy the book

Canaan's Secret's suspense and intriguing plot made for a great audiobook. It was so good I listen to it twice, and it was even better the second time.

Overall great book

The great merit of this book is that the scholarly opinions presented are supported by enough data, but not too much. For all that it contains a very academic conversation.

Land of Canaan

The Author has explained, in detail, how we have all been misled by incorrect English translations of key terms in Joshua and elsewhere about the Amorites, Canaanites Amalekites and others, and the Conquest itself. The Conquest is NOT what you thought it was.

Comprehensive listen..

Very informative. Short but I liked that. I wanted to have the broad picture of the Canaanites and this book is good for that purpose.

Direct and to the point

Short, concise, but informative for one whose primary interest is events going on in other parts of Eurasia at the time.

Fantastic book. It is interesting

The author knew his subject and presented it in a logical manner which was easy to follow. He presented the facts without a flowery dissertation. A good, easy read.

Straight to the action!

Therefore, Egypt had a very large say in the politics of Canaan.
If you want to read a great book and discover who the Canaanites were and some of their history, I suggest you purchase
this book. I certainly enjoyed it.

Easy listen, very helpful!

As I said, it is a good and worthwhile summation of what most amateur ANE history buffs would like or need to know about some ancient places. The information can -- of course -- be found elsewhere, but here it is all in one spot.

WORTH EVERY STAR!!!

The book contains several photos and illustrations that help conveniently the reading and add an additional dimension to it.

As I said, a perfect relationship between price and quality.

Quick and informative.

Excellent book. Although it sacrifices the depth for the sake of the brevity, gives a perfectly balanced account of who were the Canaanites, where and how they lived, what they did, for how many years, and so on.
