Mary Kate Lapp wakes up covered in blood, a gun beside her, and two of her best friends are dead. Since she is the only survivor and her injuries have left her with amnesia of the event, the chief of police arrests her for murder. Caleb Beiler, a friend and neighbor, is shocked, confused and trying his best to believe in Mary Kate’s innocence but with no other suspects, mounting evidence of her guilt, and her inability to tell anyone what happened, he is finding it increasingly difficult.

When danger starts to impact the community, the bond between Mary Kate and Caleb is tested to the core. Will Mary Kate be able to prove her innocence? Will Caleb be strong enough to trust her, trust God, and face the truth he keeps trying to deny, that he is falling in love with the Amish suspect?

Story line was fabulous!

Digital voice was distracting die to mispronunciation of amish terms. Gut for Gute(sp). Story was great and delivery was good

Good mix of mystery and love

Although I enjoyed the story there is a but and for me it’s a very big but. I do not like the virtual voice it’s too robotic with not an ounce of feeling and a lot of the time words are mispronounced and run together. I didn’t notice the fact that it was virtual if I had I wouldn’t have bought it.

It started out exciting right from the very beginning

Nothing everything was wrote perfectly There was not a dull moment. Everything was so very exciting.

Good story however

The story to this book was written well and interesting however, the virtual narration was awful and took away from the enjoyment of listening to this book. The amount of words spoken incorrectly was horrific and the lack of emotion by the reader was bad as well.
