Publisher's summary

Standing at six feet tall, Lydia was the tallest woman in her community, even towering over most of the men. She knew that was the reason she was 25 and unmarried, destined for a lonely life of watching her more correctly proportioned younger sisters falling in love and starting families.

When her parents suggested she stay at Aunt Stella's and look further afield for love, Lydia quickly agreed. When she arrived at Aunt Stella's, she was surprised that Stella already had a plan in place. Weeks later, Lydia receives a written proposal from Caleb Glick. Things go dreadfully wrong when he rejects her on first meeting. Lydia wasn't surprised, since she had come to expect rejection. A chance meeting with a former Amish man instantly dulls her pain.

While Lydia starts to daydream of a future with this tall man hoping he'll return to the community, news of Caleb going back on his word reaches her father. Does her father ruin everything by trying to put things right? Will Lydia ever fit in and find a man who suits her?

MIX UP THAT BECAME LOVE

THE AMISH SPINSTER. by Samantha Price book 2 in "Amish Misfits"
Delightful story of the emotion and heartache that Lydia was going thru.
She was tall 6 feet, not thin, and 25, and thoughts, she would never marry.
Seeing her younger sister with a serious beau, was almost more then she could endure. The solution maybe if she went to other community, and visited her father's sisters. Things look up when a proposal comes, but upon meeting her, what will he do. Plans get mix up and as a parent often does, her father steps in. Beautiful written you can feel the emotion of what she is going thru, wanting to be loved. Readers will definitely enjoy this, as well as the others in this series. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Love and Suspense

The narrator did a great job which kept the story flowing. A little suspense, attitude and live made a great listen.
