Quick Listen!

Its a quick listen. A sort of biography of Jeff Bezos. Its good to learn something about the ceo of a company that is sooooooo one of a kind. I love Amazon and love to shop from here. However, i was more looking into how this company operates- it doesn't have any operational/ business stuff. Just a quick insight about Jeff, his early life and how he got into starting Amazon.

an amazing man & the company he built

Amazing behind the scenes story of an amazing man & the business he envisioned & built on a network few believed would amount to much (the Internet). Great balanced coverage of the good and bad aspects of this historic achievement.

Listen This First

listen this book before you go interview at Amazon. It does a good job at explaining the history and culture at Amazon.

After my first week working at Amazon, I have found little in this book to be untrue.

And it's a fun listen of a company with a unique and visionary corporate culture.

An insipiring and controversial book

I was enthralled from the start. Fernandez can certainly weave a tale that could make any subject interesting. The lessons in leadership, business and psychology abound, but it's the personal touch that I liked the most. Despite Bezos' hard-driving ways and seemingly ruthless business practices, I got to know the man and actually liked him. Just as I loved getting to know Steve Jobs through his biography. Well written and well told, The Everything Store has a lesson for anyone interested in history, business and technology.

Jeff = Amazon

Well.. this book very much dives into and reveals Amazon at it's core - very interesting. My take away from the book was Jeff Bezo's personality and his drive is what makes Amazon what it is... I get it. The story of modern business is seeded with such powerful personalities and proves to me that bright ideas are a dime a dozen - taking an idea to fruition is a matter of execution, drive and relentlessness. Jeff is relentless, as was Jobs, Gates, and many of the names you see at the top of billion dollar companies. That's the story of Amazon - driven by Jeff to what he envisioned. That's the power of determination.

Genius

Jeff Bezos has always been ahead of himself. He has created a great company that is also a force for good. He knew from the start that this company was about more than just books--as if that were not enough. He's promoted affordable literacy around the world. But he didn't stop there. You really can get just about anything at Amazon.

Set your goals high

GREAT Story. This was a very interesting book to listen. Besos style and methods are a little too strange for me but seemed to work well for his employees .He had amazing ideas and he constantly had his goals in sight.

Well researched and interesting.

Thought the book was excellent, very well researched and gave a good insight into Amazon's inner workings.
As a steady customer of Amazon, amazed at the wide variety of offerings and the customer service that exceeds any brick or mortar store. I enjoyed reading about the story of Amazon and its fantastic founder that's brought everything in shopping to his customers. Thank you Ivan Fernandez.

Absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommend

This book is fantastic. What Jeff was able to do is nothing short of amazing and he continues to amaze to this day. The story of how Amazon became what it is today is a great read. Some people are born to be great, some people have to work to be great. Jeff was someone who was both. He was not perfect, but just like any great visionary, he always understood that growth and improvement are the keys to success.

Good listen!

Jeffrey P. Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His mother was still in her teens, and her marriage to his father lasted little more than a year. Entrepreneur and e-commerce pioneer Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bezos had an early love of computers and studied computer science and electrical engineering at Princeton University. This book also let you know more about Jeff and his online business successes !
