Overall was it entertaining, yes if you enjoy this type of story. If you like this genre of books than this would probably be a fantastic listen. For those of us who skitter around the edges of BDSM in our books, this was a little too much for what I would usually find appealing. Let me start by saying I listen to a wide variety of books, but this is the first time I have listened to a book with this much BDSM and to this depth. Which really in the scheme of things is probably milder than some. I never had any interest in the whole Grey thing. While there is a story, it is basically a story of the h being trained to be a submissive for the H. There is a bit of a love triangle or rather a sex triangle. Is there a HEA, yes. A HEA the H/h are happy with.

There is being an Dom then there is being an a**hole Dom.

Embarrassment, pain, humiliation and self doubt. Personally I definitely do not consider these sexy. Embarrassment for the sake of embarrassment is never sexy. Enjoying someone's fear is never sexy. Humiliation is not a turn on. Constantly causing someone to doubt themselves and ask if they have done something wrong is not a healthy relationship no matter Vanilla, BDSM or whatever. As they say, different strokes for different folks, but there is a limit. And yes some of the sex was very steamy and then some was a definite whoa, wait - hold on there buddy. So be prepared.

She was constantly reminded that she has the right to tell him that she was not comfortable with what he is asking her to do - I don't think she ever said no. No backbone at all. You can be a sub, but you still need to have some self respect.

Sierra Kline does a really good job with the narration. Pleasant voice, easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken, good pacing. Good character voices.

Audio quality changes occasionally, volume lowers then goes back to normal repeatedly throughout the series, but it is especially bad in the 4th and 5th book

Best Billionaire Romance Series

Would you consider the audio edition of The Alpha Billionaire Romance Series Complete Boxed Set to be better than the print version?

Yes, because the narrator did a good job of capturing the emotions of the characters along with the sensual tone of the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Stacy because she was a bit of a shy woman, yet she had this independent stance about her.

What about Sierra Kline’s performance did you like?

She had a smooth voice, which I think fit very well with the romance element of the story. Her narration drew you into the story and she kept you mesmerized as she detailed the aspects of Henry and Stacy's love story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Did she dare enter the world of billionaire Henry Lennox?

Great Book

If you’re on the lookout for a light listen then this book is for you! I am an avid fan of E.L James and Sylvia Day so going into the book I was fairly aware of the BDSM involvement. As a listner who is always willing to give an author a fair chance I was impressed by Bridget Taylor’s work.

The story is fast-paced, it doesn’t drag on longer than necessary and manages to keep the reader engaged. I’ll admit that while the story-line and character growth may not be as developed as some would prefer, I thought that it was all very appropriate for a series of this nature. Taylor writes with the intention of thrilling her readers and keeping their attention!

I find that Henry and Stacey are a rather fascinating couple and their dynamic together is engaging. As a female I found myself hoping Stacey would realize her worth, and perhaps she does in a way - with becoming Henry’s sub. The relationship they develop is far from a ‘normal’ and ‘typical’ relationship however the respect and admiration they have for each other is endearing. I enjoyed how Henry at times seem very human, something I think BDSM writers lose track of. Instead Taylor created a bit of an enigma, he’s a Master but he also shows moments of nervousness throughout the story. I found I was more interested in learning about Henry than I was Stacey.

Overall I would recommend this book to listeners who are interested this genre and are looking for a light read that will entertain and entrance them. Bridget Taylor will draw you into Henry and Stacey’s world and leave you wanting more!

Great story!

I really enjoyed this boxed set! I loved to hear Stacy's transition to Submissive and how she struggled with her choices and her feelings for Henry and Michael. So many things about the story ring true. The narration was perfect! Sierra Klein is a wonderful narrator and actually made me have actual emotions for the characters. I will definitely listen to more of her narrations!

Not my Cup of Tea

May rating is based upon my personal preferences. I can get into the BDSM, but not basically the slave aspect. Ordering a woman what to wear, basically taking pleasure in giving and recidivist pain and humiliation (how I view this book) is not for me. I felt it was degrading to the women and never could like the hero.
I do believe the book was well written and the performance was good, just not for me...maybe it's for you

Why

This was not a story just a bunch of sexcapades inside and outside of the relationship. The women the H was having sex with talked about it like it was a girls book club about him. There was also public sex displays yet this was supposed to be relationship. No way. She was okay with him having sex with any and everyone. No cool. Thay is not a relationship. This book was all about sex nothing else. It was demeaning to all of the women in the book. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review. The narrator was the only real part of the book. All the rest was just challenging.

Kept me interested and it was pretty hot

That the series was in a complete box set. The story kept me interested enough and it was well done.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Even though the character was a submissive, I wished that she was able to express herself more and not settle for so long.

What does Sierra Kline bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration was good, however, it seemed a little whimsical..

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, her relationship with Michael and how that turned out.. And when she finally stood up for herself.

Fantastic!

This is the perfect BDSM story!! It had every aspects of the lifestyle. I would rate this over Grey anytime. The narrator was wonderful!

loved the set

honestly I wish more series would bundle them up in a set so you don't have to over fill your library. anyways. great story progression was totally hooked the whole way through. super pleased with the ending.

Flaws, but not bad overall.

The first good thing about this book is that unlike so many authors out there jumping on the 50 shades band wagon of success and writing on a subject they don't know, this one either did the research or is involved in the scene - and it shows in a good way.

So while that was good there were issues that dropped my rating down.. Firstly, some of the plot was .... well, rather unlikely. For example, a business full of women with submissive natures, drop dead beauty and the least like nature of playing nice with each other over a boss that hunted them one at a time and used them for one-night-stands.

Then there is the, Michael, characters storyline. Sure, some people are naïve or dumb, but most people would need to be dead drunk and then hit over the head with a shovel before they would not see how stupid it would be do what she does with him. I just couldn't rationalise anyone doing it.

Last issue. While some of the sex scenes are good, they are often way to short and lack description. Honestly some of them last barely more than a sentence or two. Heck, some of the oral scenes will make you think he has the stamina of eager fifteen-year-old boy, who also suffers from premature issues to boot. And this was my worst issue, as if you write erotic fiction I can give some latitude to a weak character or two, or odd subplots etc, but the sex need to be fully realised.
