Loved it

The narrators did a great job.
This is the 5th addition to the series. Must be read/listened to in order it's not a standalone. In this book their kinky relationship, secrets revealed, another stalker leaving notes, secrets trying to be kept. I found this entertaining and there were a few moments that had me chuckling and some hot and steamy moments. River being defiant and ends up in harms way and becoming a distraction.
I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series and find out how everything is gonna go down.

In this gripping mafia story , the relationship between Marco and River sizzles with intense passion and undeniable chemistry. Marco, is a man deeply involved in a dangerous underworld, Marco harbors deep secrets that weigh heavily on his conscience. He recognizes the mistake of withholding crucial information from River and now fears the potential consequences of his silence.
As the tension builds, Marco desperately praying that River will not abandon him when the truth finally comes to light.
The story concludes with an intense, suspenseful cliffhanger that leaves me wanting more.
Sean Masters totally nails the character of the tough, alpha male in this story, and Kalestra Spencer brings River to life as the sassy, hot woman she's supposed to be. Both are excellent performers,

Can't wait for the finale

I can't believe we've almost reached the end. This installment felt like the perfect bridge as the suspense ramped up and we get yet another wicked cliffhanger. I'm so excited to see what happens in the finale.

I really enjoyed Marco and Rivers growth in their love for each other in this one. We start to see Marco ease up on the OTT obsession (just a touch he's still unhinged in his love for her) and we watch River's walls start to crumble as she admits her love for him.

The audio was great. Sean Masters and Kalestra Spencer were fantastic and I loved this listen. Thank you so much Pink Flamingo for the advanced copy!

Caveman Unleashed

Trouble seems to love finding River Rose Fox Mancini. Every installment in this series, there's been something life altering, and this one keeps the theme alive. *rubbing hands together with glee* I love digging into this couple. And the truth that comes to light, while I anticipated it, is enough to upend River's world.

I do love how Marco Mancini's relationship with River continues to grow and flourish. Sure, there are plenty of bumps, but that's to be expected with two strong personalities. Aside from the one area that he avoids like the plague, I love how they get to the bottom of some of their issues. Meeting Marco's "fiancée" is possibly the best example. LOL! What River does is epic!

The fire between River and Marco burns very bright. It's their best form of communication. Plus, it's hot AF. 🌶🔥

As expected, this ends on another cliffhanger (heavy grumbling may be going on). This is where I say that this needs to be read in... yep, you guessed it, order. Thankfully, there's only one book left, and I can't wait!

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Kallestra Spencer and Sean Masters. As most of the book is from River's POV, I really wish this was in duet, but I like the narrators and can deal.
