a Pleasure

this was my first Churchill book. Nothing short of amazing. His style is unique and his prose sounds like a poem. Lots of great insights and wisdom. He was truly great man. Narration was a pure delight.

Another triumph for Sir Winston.

interesting insights into the American Revolution and the War of 1812 as told from an English perspective. Good insights indirectly into our present times as well.

Good straight forward history

What made the experience of listening to The Age of Revolution the most enjoyable?

The narrator is clear and the history is told in an easily understood, straightforward manner. Often times an historian gets sidetracked, but not Churchill. Also, its fascinating to hear the history of the American Revolutionary War from the English perspective

Enjoying the series

Well done history lesson. No matter how much we think things change they repeat themselves over and over. Looking forward to volume 4.

It was a great traditional history of prominent figures and the impact they made on society.

It was a little too traditional in the way the story was told and the focus of it was at times outdated. However, for the trained eye, it is an interesting look at how a statesman and historical figure such as Churchill still saw the world in ethnocentric terms.
