Radio drama done well

If you like, or think you might like, old fashioned detective radio dramas then you’ll like this.
I first heard some episodes on Classic radio XM148 mixed in with the many detective shows of the 40s and 50s.
Harry Nile is an unassuming nice guy Private Eye, the opposite of the hard-boiled tough guy types ubiquitous in early radio. Yet he is as fearless and clever. The stories are varied, a few clunkers but most are interesting and well presented. Acting and timing is first rate for most characters but one guy in the troupe is awkward. Overall, each episode represents what the old time radio shows were trying to achieve but rarely did.
This is a great deal for a credit. 20+ individual escapes to yesteryear. When you’re not sure what book you want to start next, or you want a 20 minute break, these are perfect
