A fabulous collection of stories; great narration
These are GREAT stories. I love the characters,the tales are intriguing, and it's great historical fiction.
If you like either light mystery, historical fiction, or just a good story, you should love these.
Derek Jacobi is perfect as the narrator.

Sir Derek Jacobi is a treasure.
I wish Sir Derek Jacobi had recorded more Brother Cadfael stories. There are others available, but he doesn't read & perform on those.

The Wonderful Collection of these remastered gems...
Sir Derek Jacobi has again leant his clear, expressive voice to Brother Cadfael. The author has written great stories and Sir Derek has performed with what seems to be such ease. It takes a moment to appreciate the skill of both.

Superlative storytelling!

Well worth the time
Getting to hear these stories in the voice of the man who made the character come alive on TV was a real pleasure. I especially appreciated the chance to hear him do Brother Cadfael’s Penance since that book was never translated to the screen. Still, I wish he’d read all the books in the series. That would have been priceless.

Satisfying entertainment
The reading of Derek Jacobi lends these somewhat condensed versions of the stories a virtually seamless rendering. Satisfying and enjoyable entertainment. Jacobi ‘s voice is marvelous.
