Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Publisher's Summary
In this charming romantic comedy perfect for fans of Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella, critically acclaimed author Teri Wilson shows us that sometimes, being pushed out of your comfort zone leads you to the ultimate prize.
Charlotte Gorman loves her job as an elementary school librarian and is content to experience life through the pages of her books. That couldn’t be more opposite from her identical twin sister. Ginny, an Instagram-famous beauty-pageant contestant, has been chasing a crown since she was old enough to enunciate the words world peace, and she’s not giving up until she gets the title of Miss American Treasure. And Ginny’s refusing to do it alone this time.
She drags Charlotte to the pageant as a good luck charm, but the winning plan quickly goes awry when Ginny has a terrible, face-altering allergic reaction the night before the pageant, and Charlotte suddenly finds herself in a switcheroo the twins haven’t successfully pulled off in decades.
Woefully unprepared for the glittery world of hair extensions, false eyelashes, and push-up bras, Charlotte is mortified at every unstable step in her sky-high stilettos. But as she discovers there’s more to her fellow contestants than just wanting a sparkly crown, Charlotte realizes she has a whole new motivation for winning.

Fluff but nice for a change
This type of story (romantic fluff) isn't my usual choice, but sometimes I need a change from literary fiction, psychological thrillers, and mysteries. The premise was completely unrealistic, but it sort-of worked. What didn't work was the romance, but I guess it's a required part of any story like this. The narrator was good and that kept me listening through all the predictable bits.

Hmmm
This had the potential to be a fun and frivolous read. And it’s not a bad offering for this genre. But honestly, some things were just a bridge too far, like a librarian who only knows Rowling, Bronte, Austen, Alcott and Shakespeare? Give me a break.
Also there was too much repetition. There were the entire chapters dedicated to needless secrets and self-flagellation. Come on! The protagonist was in an absurdly farcical situation. No one supporting her had the moral high ground why did she continually punish herself. I wish she’d been less self condemning, less superficial and more confident.

Cute book with a nice message
I liked it a lot. It was geek but not cringey like books like this tend to be. The story was very easy to get sucked into. I would definitely share this book with someone who needs an easy light reading. It was funny and I didn’t want to put it down.

Sweet, Light, Entertaining Romcom
Throw “Miss Congeniality”, “Pride and Prejudice”, and “The Parent Trap” in a blender, season with a touch of “Legally Blonde” and this is the story you’ll end up with. I was looking for light fluff after several heavier non fiction reads, and this charming but predictable book delivered. It held my attention and made me laugh often. I even teared up a bit towards the end in spite of myself. The story is adorable. In true tradition of all novels based on a Pride and Prejudice theme, it helps to disarm the negative stigmas from all angles of the story. The narration sparkles - clear, bright and great timing in the delivery. I loved that the writer kept the material clean - I am often asked to recommend books that aren’t offensive, and they are few and far between. This is one I can endorse to just about anyone. Great fun summer read!

Nice, Fluffy Read
This was a really cute read, so light and fluffy with not much drama and I really needed that
the story is about twin sisters Charlotte and Ginny, Charlotte is "The Smart One" and Ginny is "The Pretty One" but one day Charlotte is forced to switch places to compete in a beauty pageant instead if her sister, and that's when the story unfold
it's very cute and I liked the romance so much, it had the right connection and chemistry and the ending was like a Hallmark movie, I recommend it for a light cute read
The narrator was nice too, the book gives you a really good vibe :)

Cute and fun story with no steamy bits
I had to listen at 1.25X to really like the narrator. Once that was changed the book moved really well. I appreciated the romance but not having any explicit descriptions of sex acts. It kept the book sweet and fun.
The characters were well developed and their wasn’t too much repetition with the angst Charlotte felt impersonating her sister.
