Story
A BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation of Agatha Christie’s darkly suspenseful psychological thriller. ‘Some are born to sweet delight/Some are born to endless night’ William Blake Agatha Christie wrote 'Endless Night' in 1967, and it is one of her greatest - and most unusual - novels. Creepy, malevolent and claustrophobic, it is a story about choices, the nature of good and evil, and grim retribution.

Story
A foggy night... a lonely country house... and a woman with a gun in her hand quietly surveying the dead body of her husband. It looked like a straightforward case of murder. Or was it? As the ghosts of an old wrong begin to emerge from the past, the case begins to look anything but straightforward... First staged at the Duchess Theatre in London in 1958, this play ran for 604 performances and is as gripping and ingenious as you would expect from the Queen of Crime.

Publisher's Summary
A BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation starring John Moffatt as the great Belgian detective with Simon Williams and Philip Jackson.
Alice Ascher, a poor, elderly shopkeeper, is murdered in Andover. Betty Barnard, a young waitress, is strangled with her own belt at Bexhill-on-Sea.
Next comes Carmichael Clarke, collector of Chinese art, clubbed to death in Churston. Only in Doncaster does the pattern vary: the man found stabbed in the Regal Cinema is called George Earsfield. But each time, an ABC railway guide is found by the dead bodies, and each time, Poirot is warned in advance by a taunting letter from someone signed 'ABC'.
Who is ABC? And can Poirot find out in time to prevent the death of a whole alphabet of victims? The police doubt him, and the public are in a state of panic, but Poirot is convinced that the murderer's luck will turn, and sooner or later he will make a crucial mistake. And Poirot will be there when he does...

I'm a big fan of any BBC drama. The technical production values are always superb. John Moffat makes an outstanding radio HP, but SW not quite his equal as Capt. H. Philip Jackson is great.

Exemplary First Class A.B.C Murders
This is a first class production of the A.B.C Murders which keeps you gripped to your seat as the great sleuth goes merrily about his business.
The Cast, Acting Skills, Production & Soundtrack are exemplary. John Moffat is 'The' Radio Poirot' & many a times I listen to John all day, all night & always want more. Johns mannerisms are perfect.
I have the full Agatha Christie Audible sets: Poriot, Miss Marple & all
Agatha Christies other works in my collection & I wish there were more.
