Publisher's summary
Unlock the Power of the 8Cs!
This fun, engaging audiobook introduces children to Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the 8Cs - the qualities of Self that can help kids handle big feelings and challenges.
Through imaginative stories and examples, young listeners will learn how tapping into the 8Cs like Curiosity, Confidence, and Calm can help them understand themselves on a deeper level. These inner resources provide tools to nurture self-compassion, bravery, creativity, and more.
Kid-friendly explanations of the IFS model focus on:
- Exploring the parts inside us formed by different feelings
- Discovering your Inner Self, a wise guide with 8 superpowers
- Learning to befriend all your parts and transform challenging emotions
Ideal for ages 5-12. Written by Dr. Patryas - a mother, Psychophysics lecturer, IFS practitioner, counsellor, and artist - to foster emotional intelligence and inner resilience in children.
Start your child's journey to the magic and mysteries of their inner world! The 8Cs provide a map to self-understanding and healthy self-concept - skills that will serve kids for life.
The inspiration for this book comes from the eight qualities of Self as described in Internal Family Systems (IFS), founded by Richard C. Schwartz, PhD. IFS is a therapeutic model that examines the various parts within us. For more information on this fascinating approach, please visit the IFS Institute website at ifs-institute.com.
All proceeds from sales of this audiobook will be donated to a children's mental health charity.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

She’s on the run from a dangerous and secretive organization that will stop at nothing to track her down. And most astonishing of all: she’s a robot, a product of Eden Laboratories. When Eve discovers the truth, she realizes everything she thought she knew about herself is a lie. Eve manages to escape, fleeing the lab, the only home she’s ever known.

Wonderful IFS resource for kids and those who care for them!
I am feeling great gratitude for the author tapping into her own creativity to provide this resource for children! This book can also double as an audible meditation exercise. Comes with a PDF of the book… beautiful illustrations and useful pages!
