I literally cried during the last chapter! It was such a great tale, I really enjoyed the surprises!

That Man of Mine

Deke and Mimi… they’ve been together since they were teens. They made it through teenage pregnancy and school and hardships to only grow apart as their oldest daughter entered her senior year of high school. Through misunderstandings and a deep love of each other they are able to conquer and learn that they can make it as long as they gave each other.

Great book. Loved the narrator- she was really good

Interesting but frustrating

I love the Whispering Bay series, but I actually disliked Mimi. The plot of the story was unique and has many twists and turns but for me all the ridiculousness could have been easily avoided. There were several funny moments but I found Mimi to be such a huge drip. (I could never be her friend). Why? Because...

I found her to be a manipulative game playing wife. I disagreed with almost every decision she made. Her actions were a poor example of unconditional family love. She is judgemental, arrogant and dumb.

Even in her professional life, in the end, she needed her astranged husband to bail her out of the messes she made. These crazy situations originated because she was not a team player. She was more concerned about protecting her ego rather than doing what was best for the town or her family... minus 4 stars for the awful FMC - plus 3 stars for the otherwise well written fun MMC & town characters.

Narration good as usual , although I do reduce my speed for this actor to .85.

This series was amazing!!!!!

The author took relatable everyday life situations and masterfully created a storyline that drew you in each and every book! The characters are everyday people and I for one want to find Whispering Bay and visit just to see if it’s a place I want to live! ♥️

I think the most memorable is the fact that the small town is hit on and living in a small town myself I related to all of it.
