Many arrive here determined to not get entwined with the local ladies. This, though, is not a book about hookers in Thailand. There's enough of them out there already. What the book does cover is a couple of the more stunningly ridiculous situations that men can find themselves in when dealing with bar girls, but it's much more than that.
The first chapter is "The Rule Of Man". We Westerners have an expectation of the police and the court system that you will not find in Thailand. It's a shock to the system, and applies to everyone that visits Thailand, male and female alike. Some of the advice may look like common sense to you, but you would be amazed at the number of people who lack it. Even more to the point, the number who leave their brains at the airport. Normally sensible people do ludicrous things, and they take risks they would never take back home.
The information in this book could literally save your life, if not just your life savings. If you are thinking of holidaying in Thailand, or possibly even relocating to the Kingdom, this is essential listening.
