Publisher's Summary

Lily: To escape my uncle - one of New York's most dangerous mob bosses - I had to create a whole new life. I became an expert forger, fled to Texas, and never let anyone get close to me again. I didn't figure on having my life saved by a huge, muscled cowboy. He's arrogant, he's stubborn, and he's the local stud, so why is he interested in a curvy girl like me? And if he annoys me so much, why can't I stop fantasizing about him?

Bull: As soon as I saw her, I knew I had to have her. Lily had curves that didn't quit and too many goddamn secrets. Well, I was going to uncover every inch of her....

Contains mature themes.

Bull is a disgusting pig

Wow - this is not at all what I expected. Why in the world would someone write a hero that is a disgusting sexist pig. When they first met (where he asked her to meet for a date) at the bar he is surrounded by other women with them sitting all around and ON him. He just smiles and asks her to join in his lap. Ummm, nope. The fact that she stays is mind-blowing and upsetting.

Enjoyed it

It was a fun listen. It’s hard to find books with plus size women that aren’t awful. This was great and a nice break from the size 2 heroines of most audio books :)

3.75 stars. Good listen.

This was a good listen, and I’ll probably try the others in the series. Good storyline, interesting characters, even if Bull was a little predictable.

A few things that bugged me were:
I thought the female narrator was saying “Bowl” instead of “Bull” until I heard the male narrator say it. Otherwise, I enjoyed her narration.
No one from New York says “mash” when they mean “press,” making it sound unbelievable that Lily was from New York. One mashes potatoes and presses buttons. Mashing buttons and other items is a southern grammar error.
Finally, the author used “I” when “me” would have been correct.
Even with these and other grammatical issues, it was an entertaining listen.

good story, but repetitive verbiage

I am SO tired of hearing that the characters panted. or gasped. or panted and gasped. Seriously...did none of the editors catch that? it sometimes happens multiple times within a single scene. Find a new description for how people breathe. That said... Sebastian York who? Christian Fox is my new favorite narrator. He is adept with various accents and his voice is delicious. Off to find a book he narrated all on his own...

"You know why they call me Bull?"

This story had a lot of giggle worthy moments. All of Bull's personality was beguiling. Lily's self doubt and inner struggles were irritating at times but definitely gave insight to her behavior.

I wasn't a fan of Lucy's voice for Bull but otherwise loved the performance. Christian performed excellently and oozed Bull's personality with ease.

I also loved the little crossover from Lying and Kissing and Lily's response to Arianna.

Overall a fun and steamy story.

Hmmm.

Kinda corny. Sort of silly. Somewhat entertaining. Mary and Luke-"very old testament"-Not. Try "new" testament.

Bad

I really like both of these narrators so I gave it a shot. I couldn't finish it. The story line is absurd. The narration was good but the story was so ridiculous it could not be redeemed.

Love this series!

Bull & Lilly are so sweet but, like reality sweet. However, the books don't seem completely finished. But, I still can't wait for the next one.

hammy but funny

all very cliché, with a few funny touches. enjoyable if you are happy with the standard alpha male story.
