Un buon investigatore deve essere capace di costruire una storia, immaginare che cosa è successo prima e dopo il crimine, come in un romanzo. Poi, costruita la storia, deve andare in cerca di ciò che la conferma e la contraddice. Cosí pensa il maresciallo dei carabinieri Pietro Fenoglio, piemontese trapiantato a Bari, che si trova a indagare su un omicidio dove tutto appare troppo chiaro fin dall'inizio. Non fosse che al principale sospettato, su cui si concentra ogni indizio, mancava qualsiasi movente per commettere il delitto.

Il primo audiolibro della serie di cause dell’avvocato Guerrieri, nonché esordio letterario di Gianrico Carofiglio. Un delitto atroce, un'Italia su cui riflettere ed un protagonista antieroico sono i magici ingredienti di questo avvincente thriller in difesa delle cause perse.
A seguito dell'efferato omicidio di un bambino di nove anni, viene arrestato un giovane venditore ambulante senegalese. Sembra la conclusione perfetta a qualsiasi indagine, con un capro espiatorio ideale, indifendibile e isolato dai pregiudizi e dall’ignoranza italiana più becera. Ma l’avvocato Guerrieri è in un periodo nero della sua vita e, tra un matrimonio fallito ed attacchi di panico, non ha più nulla da perdere e si butta nel caso a capofitto ritrovando passioni, fiducia in sé stesso ed accendendo la scintilla di una nuova rinascita.
Ascoltare questo thriller dalla voce dello stesso autore, Gianrico Carofiglio, è un’esperienza di doppio valore in quanto ci permette di entrare ancora più a fondo nell’universo del romanzo. Per molti sarà facile identificarsi con il protagonista grazie alla narrazione in prima persona e alla qualità vocale dell’autore, così specifica e genuina e di una pastosità talmente realistica che parrebbe quasi di sentire tutti i respiri di sigaretta emessi dal disilluso avvocato Guerrieri.
Testimone inconsapevole è l’esordio letterario di Carofiglio, scritto quando era magistrato e sostituto procuratore presso l’Antimafia di Bari. Diventato poi autore di successo, nel 2010 vince il premio Selezione Campiello ed oggi i suoi libri hanno venduto più di sei milioni di copie e sono stati tradotti in tutto il mondo.

Storia interessante, terribile produzione.
Il libro ha il merito di discutere un processo in Italia senza scimmiottare un court drama all’americana. L’autore legge il libro, e non fa un buon lavoro. La lettura è monotona e dilettantesca. La produzione è orribile. Alla fine di ogni capitolo, con voce squillante e senza pausa, l’autore grida il numero del capitolo successivo e continua la lettura. Un gruppo di liceali avrebbe fatto una produzione migliore.

Good book, terrible reading
This was a really entertaining read, and a treat for those of us learning Italian, as it's easy to understand and way more fun than a "let's learn Italian book". I look forward to moving on to the sequels!
I have to say though, it really sounds like nobody listened to this recording before they published it! The author is nowhere near as good as an actor would be, which is of course understandable, but there are so many problems with this recording that were not edited out! You can hear him shifting in his seat, making weird swallowing noises, and there are long pauses from when he stopped the recording device that make the flow very weird. It's also hilarious how little space there is between the end of a chapter and the start of the next one, it always startled me and made me laugh. Something like "...and then I turned of the lights and went to sleepNINE!" Haha.
So aside from the terrible sound quality, a great book. Hopefully it got better once they did more of these? Let's find out... :)
