Tender Mercies

I enjoyed this audiobook more than I thought I would. I'm not a huge audiobook person, but I do think they can be convenient for getting a book in while also doing other things. I definitely found myself enjoying the narrators a bunch. they both brought the story and characters to life and made the book more interesting. Definitely recommend!!

One of the first titles I read from this author.

I remember when I first read this story years ago. It was so different from anything I've ever read. I loved revisiting it in audio form. It is a dark story, and not for the faint of heart, but with a happy ending. If you've tried Kitty Thomas before, this is a classic from her. If not, it is a good chance to dip your toe into her worlds. These are listed as dark romance and they can be dark, but like I said, the endings are always good.

And in the author's note, there will be a second and third book coming at some point. I love forward to seeing more of this world.

Narration
I've listened to Lucy Rivers before and really enjoyed her. I was excited to see that she was the narrator for this story. I have not listened to Gregory Salinas, but I found his narration enjoyable as well. I would listen to either of them again for sure.

A must read

This was one of my favorite audiobook to date. I absolutely love the performers. I love when you get a male performer for the main character as well as a female performer. The female also uses her voice for another character (male-the second main male character).

I read this story in the past and forgot how much I love this story. It has always been one of my top three from this author. A definitely must for all dark romance lovers

Kitty Thomas is my hands down instant read. I love her writing. Always on the dark side, and honestly, I'm always pulled into the story with an easy sense of love! I enjoyed this so much! It was such a thrilling story about making the wrong choice and not knowing if it could ever be resolved!

One of my faves

I read this story a few years ago, and jumped at the chance to listen to the audio. I loved the book, but the audio takes it to another level. Hearing each character in their own voice I created the emotional intensity. It's fantastic! This isn't an easy book. It deals with some deep subjects, and could be triggering, but I also think the story is beautiful in a disturbing way. The characters are deeply flawed, and I'm not sure they make each other better for being in a relationship. I also can't imagine them surviving without each other. The added epilogue brought a new flavor to the ending, and I'm excited to know there will be more books coming.
