Publisher's Summary

Madeline, Avery, and Nikki are strangers to each other, but they have one thing in common. They each wake up one morning to discover their life savings have vanished, along with their trusted financial manager - leaving them with nothing but co-ownership of a ramshackle beachfront house.

Throwing their lots in together, they take on the challenge of restoring the historic property. But just as they begin to reinvent themselves and discover the power of friendship, secrets threaten to tear down their trust - and destroy their lives a second time.

Critic Reviews

"The sexual magnetism between the bickering Chase and Avery, and a secret that Nicole keeps from her newfound friends, add dramatic tension to Wax's formulaic plot, showcasing three women who rise above their shattered realities with grace, determination, and a little elbow grease." A Definite Good Read!!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was an amazing display of facing challenges, in friendship, loyalty and love. And finding the newness in ourselves to expand beyond what we think we can.

What other book might you compare Ten Beach Road to and why?

The other two in this series

Any additional comments?

Three women from different lives and backgrounds lose everything they have. Together, different though they are, they must band together to protect and rebuild the only asset any of them has. What a journey! Mother Maddie, Worker Avery, and High Flyer Nicole couldn't be more different. What a wonderful adventure to watch them work together as they are joined by other characters to rebuild Bella Flora .... and their own lives.

Learning to live with what you are handed!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and No! There was some bad language is this book. I do not like it!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ten Beach Road?

The friendships developed by the characters in this story. I read the second book before the first so I knew a little bit about the first book. They had to work hard on remodeling the property. At my age I don't know if I could have. Takes me back to the saying 'Where there is a will There is a way".

What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yes, because they were all trying to achieve the same goal. Get some of their money back that was stolen from them. All the while trying to keep their family from falling a part.

Who was the most memorable character of Ten Beach Road and why?

She did a very good job of making the different characters come alive.

Any additional comments?

A pretty good read minus language.

Great beach read

I usually read thrillers but this was recommended to me as a great book for the beach. Glad I bought it. I've now listened to all of the books in the series.

Amazing first book in a fantastic series

Wendy Wax writes about women struggling to survive after they have lost everything due to being scammed in an investment. The characters are so real and you feel like they your friends by the end of the book. I highly recommend this entire series.

3 hours too long

this is a 13 hour audio book....3 hours too long with a crazy amount of repetition of the character's personal problems.

strong women, great message

I enjoyed this book greatly. I liked the fact that the women are strong, and encounter and solve problems that today's women regardless of career including housewife encounter also.
I didn't like like the negative parts and the slow pace in the beginning
but it picked up then kept going at a quick to the end.

pace to the end

end.
