Publisher's summary

London society knows the Byrons are "mad, bad, and dangerous" and every bit as fascinating as their poetic non-relation. Join the fun as New York Times best-selling author Tracy Anne Warren presents the first tale of this tempestuous family - famous for scandal and legendary at love....

Orphaned beauty Meg Amberley never planned to pose as Lord Cade Byron's fiancée. Caught in a snowstorm, she takes refuge at his estate. Stranded together, Meg soon finds herself falling under Cade's spell. When the roads clear, she intends to leave, but fate intervenes.

Haunted by his past, Cade Byron has buried himself in the country. Then Meg - with her lush curves - invades his house and his life. With her reputation compromised, he proposes a pretend engagement and a London season where she can find a husband.

But as their charade deepens, Cade can't let her go...vowing to tempt her with a kiss that just may lead to forever.

Wow

What can I say—after reading dozens of mediocre novels I discovered a truly gifted novelist who has an amazing ability to bring a story and its characters to life! The narrator was also excellent!!! I will be continuing to read this series!

Found My New Favorite Author

Having exhausted the works of most of my favorite authors, I had been looking for a new author. I was SO excited when I listened to my first Tracy Anne Warren book, narrated by Rebecca De Leeuw (also new to me) and encountered excellence in the story, writing and narration. I quickly purchased the 2nd book in the series and it was equally enjoyable. Sigh...so many new books to explore now. Bonus, this book was a suggested for me from Audible! They really do know me.

Good but....

I struggle with the idea that THIS narrator will continue to punish me for wanting to LISTEN to this series. I don't understand the choice. She's tolerable, but it took my interest in another volume in this series to get me to actually listen to this book. It's been I. my library since its release but four false starts and I gave up.... until I realized either I was wrong and I just needed to get into it before my frustration with narrator got to me, or the objection s were mine alone....

I got thru it. Very good story. still dismayed by narrator choice, but a good enough book to put up with her.

Pretty darn good!

I loved most everything about this book and highly recommend it. There were only a time or two that I felt she was being quite idiotic and she even admits to it in the book! I couldn’t wait to hear the rest of the series. I’m currently on book 3 of the series. The narration could’ve been better. Wish the male voice was more masculine.

This was an excellent Story!

“Tempted by His Kiss” was a Story that just kept on giving. A man in pain, living in sorrow and the love , the strength of a good woman brings these main characters together. Their adventure stole my heart, made me laugh and made me cry. The narrator did an excellent job with the performance and, this book deserves a big fat 5 stars!

A story that pulls you in

Lord Byron, with his limp, PTSD, and drinking problem makes for an unlikely romantic hero, but Tracy Ann Warren manages to pull it off. And while the heroine, Meg Amberley, makes many of the ill-informed decisions that make you roll your eyes at the heroines in romantic novels, Warren still manages to make her a character you want to root for. I also enjoyed the pace of the story...speeding up and slowing down at intervals that keep your interest.

I don't entirely agree with the critiques of the narrator. Her narration style isn't boring. Her voice is melodic, but ironically, almost too melodic. She has the kind of voice that could lull a child to sleep during bedtime. In short, this is not the narrator I'd choose for a long road trip. But it's just fine for shorter listening times.

Story is just okay. Narration is Good!

Wow, this story was about 5 hours too long. Just sayin........

The story line just drug on and on and on it was never ending it seemed. The angst was just to extra, the internal dialogue too much. Geez I never thought this book would end. I am actually surprised I finished it. It had potential, but the author took it way to far filling up pages with a bunch of blah blah blah.

As for the narration, it was good so there is that. Rebecca De Leeuw does a good job on the male voices for sure!
