Sara Hawthorne is a dedicated attorney, a loyal wife, and the mother of two 19-year-old girls. When her husband succumbs to cancer, Sara has to battle the grief and also the addiction to which one of her daughters falls prey.

Maximus Tempest is business driven and family starved. Eager to get his estranged wife to sign the divorce papers so he can move on with his life, he is frustrated when she is taken to the hospital after overdosing and wants no part of her treatment.

When Sara and Max see each other after 20 years, old feelings spring to life, but with the whirlwind of problems that surround them, how could it possibly work? Secrets are revealed from the grave that could threaten any future they might have, and it will be up to Sara and Max to see if they can overcome the lies, or if they must bury their dreams of a relationship forever.

Fantastic!

This was a gorgeous second-chance romance. Angsty and emotional - there was so much to love about this story. Fantastic narration! Really enjoyed this story!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The fact that I was gifted this book had no influence over my opinion of it.

Tempt Me Too

Tempt Me Too
: Stacy Eaton

This second chance romance deals with many issues. Some of them are death, addiction, unknown family and others I won't mention because of spoilers. The listener will get to know the characters and their particular issues. You will either love them or want to slap some sense into them. I was held captive as I listened.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. The team of Marie Rose and Chris Chamberlain were very enjoyable to hear. Plenty of emotion and feelings to keep the story flowing.

New to me author, and I enjoyed the book

This was a new author to me, and I felt her story line and character development were good overall. The sex wasn't graphic and the book focused more on the story line/plot/dialog which is nice. Often Sex can become the overpowering force in a romance book with little real dialog, so that was a change of pace. Within the story there is an adoption driven plot, and i'll admit that I am a bit sensitive when adoption plays into a story line, since often a simplistic societal view is conveyed rather than the complexity that is adoption. (Adoptions foundation is about loss and its complex emotions and feelings for adoptees and biologial family). The author did a fair job in that area, but could have fleshed it out a bit more, but that is just from my viewpoint as an adoptee. The duet narration was excellent, and the actors kept you in the story and I really enjoyed it.
Overall 4.5 stars.

Wonderful story!

This book was one of the best books I have read in a long time. Sara is dealing with the grief of losing her husband to cancer, and her twin daughters are dealing with it in their own way. When one of them becomes withdrawn, Sara knows there is more to it. Then she sees Max again after many years. The chemistry between them is amazing. Max still has feelings for Sara, as does Sara for him. Can they work through the secrets that rise from the grave? Oh, this book was so very good, and I was sad for it to end. I really enjoyed listening to this narrator as well. I definitely recommend this book!

A Second Chance Story With A Twists and Turns

This was my 1st Stacy Eaton and it truly will not be my last. With a lot of stories you can guess what is coming next but with Tempt Me Too, I was pleasantly surprised more than once. What a great way to weave surprises in to a story. Marie and Chris made a excellent duo for this story. They both did a great job with a variety of characters.
I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Excellent!

This listen had me from the beginning! This is my first from this author. I was very impressed. I had to ignore life for 8 hours because I couldn’t focus on anything but this book. I love old loves finding each other and fighting to together. The story was great and the narrators on my they are great. I’ve never heard this duet before I loved it. A narrator can make or break a book this pair was perfect!

This was an unbiased review with a credit given to me by the author thank you!

second chances

I'm a sucker for a good second chance romance, but this one was so much more. The characters were flawed and real, the plot drew me in from the beginning and I loved how fate kept bringing Max and Sara back together.

The story has you feeling all the emotions, going from laughing to crying to anger and back again. I really enjoyed this story.
