Publisher's summary

The most beautiful man I've ever seen is the same one who can ruin everything.

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he'll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent, and thousand-dollar shoes, he's just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants. And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle's estate.

I can't afford either one. I'm the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system.

He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful - pure desperation. This temp job at his mother's company can become a full time job for me. It has to. But when Callan's eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I've become.

And it works - if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can't afford to get sucked into his high-powered family's treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can't forget this is temporary. He's temporary. I have too much to lose. Too bad my foolish heart didn't get the memo....

#HolySixPackBatman

Grace Carrington
Age: 25
Occupation: Whatever temp work is available
Home Life: Caring for her 15 year old sister, Olivia
Financial Status: Struggle Street

Callan Walker
Age: 31
Occupation: Playboy
Home Life: Estranged
Financial Status: Trust Fund Richie

When Grace is offered the chance to prove herself worthy of landing a permanent position and steady income, she has no idea that she is walking into a decades-long, multimillion dollar, international family feud.

Or that she would meet the sensitive, intelligent, Australian playboy, Callan Walker.

As she works to help settle the estate of Callan's late uncle, their proximity oozes sexual chemistry, and it isn't long before the lines between professional and private are blurred by passion and lust.

But Grace stands to lose everything when she inadvertently becomes a pawn in the Walker family's power play.

*****

Shane East and Emma Wilder’s Aussie accents are flawlessly performed.

Flirtatious, steamy, with a great story line.

Another winner for Sarina

I have been enjoying multiple Sarina Bowen books. This one had the added delight of an Australian co-author giving it some fun Aussie terms and an international vibe. Would recommend to fans of Sarina Bowen’s work.
The narrators were great. The only thing I didn’t like in the entire book was the abrupt ending. Made me search for a sequel.

opinion

Boring at times. Trite billionaire meets homely, poor, New York damsel plot line. How easy is it to fall for a rich handsome man? I'd like to read about a woman loving someone that wasn't born into money, then see how turned on she gets when he struggles as much as she does. Entertaining read, but ending fell flat.
Shane East wowed, but the 4 stars is for Wilder's choppy reading style.

FANTASTIC LOVE STORY !!

Totally AMAZING STORY!! FABULOUS characters ! . How could you not FALL in LOVE with Callan Walker , SEXY Australian accent, super wealthy playboy !! Oooh and of course Grace , her temporary job, struggling to pay her bills and raising her 15 year old sister
on her own . The sister Olivia kinda steals and few scenes in this story.
There are a lot of laughs, some sadness over loss if a dear LOVED one. But DEFFINLEY a deep connection right from the start with Callan and Grace !! LOVE the way that he can get right under her skin.....and boy oh boy does she FALL hard for him but holds herself back because of issues she has from her past. She's not the only one, so does he. It is so much fun to watch them banner back and forth!! Lovely sexual connection between them was BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN!!
Of course there is EVIL within! In the form of Callan's mother Victoria! Yucky mother of the YEAR !! HATE, HATE HER !

BEAUTIFUL NARRATORS !!BROVO TO EMMA WILDER AND OF COURSE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SEXY VOICE SHANE EAST 💖💖💖 BOTH did a exceptional job with their characters emotions throughout the whole storytelling! Made this the most OUTSTANDING LISTENING EXPERIENCE EVER!! 💖💖💖💖

BROVO SARINA BOWEN AND SARAH MAYBERRY !! YOU BOTH DEFFINLEY HAVE A HIT !! VERY IMPRESSIVE STORYLINE, EXCELLENT CHARACTERS, BRILLIANTLY NARRATED!!!! ONE HUNDRED STARS IF I COULD GIVE THIS I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD !!
NOW PLEASE CAN WE HAVE THE CONTINUING STORY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!...😎
YEP A CLIF HANGER ! 😯

Quick read, great narration.

Read this all day as couldn’t stop. He’s a rich playboy, she’s poor and supports her teenage sister. She works for his evil mother but is drawn irresistibly to him and his cause also. What a dilemma she has on her hands. Both characters, Callum and Grace, each have their own turmoil and couldn’t wait to see how things turned out for them. I was thoroughly entertained. Shane’s amazing Aussie voice blends well with the husky sensual voice of Emma Wilder. Both so easy to listen to. Sarah Mayberry and Serena Bowen writing together is dynamic.

Sort of cliffhanger?

This was a really good book. I really liked the story line and I liked the slow progression of everything. Nothing was wrapped up quickly and I felt like all of the situations in this book were handled realistically.

I liked the chemistry between Callan and Grace and I loved the incorporation of Olivia. She was actually one of my favorite characters because who doesn't remember being a snotty 15 year old? I liked that Grace tried to give her as normal of a childhood as possible given their circumstances and I really loved how Callan cared for her, as well. Callan understood that Olivia was a packaged deal and he embraced it with finesse and compassion.

What I didn't like about the book was that the end was sort of a cliffhanger? I'm assuming that means there will be another book for the character involved, but I'm not positive. It really could go either way. It feels like Callan and Grace's story is done, but I could be wrong. I haven't heard talks of another book, so I have no idea.

The narration was really excellent. I've never listened to either narrator and I can say that I really enjoyed them both. I will definitely be looking for other books narrated by them. I did think that Emma Wilder did a better job with the aussie accent, actually. Shane East was way more British sounding than Australian sounding, but I believe that's his native accent, so it doesn't entirely surprise me. However, the aussie accent was still faintly there, so I still say he did a good job.

Definitely give this book a shot! It was very entertaining and I finished it pretty quickly.

SQUUUUUUUEEEE!!!!!

Omg. I laughed, I Cried... Twice!!!
It was frustrating and angering and lovely.
In other words, All The Feels.
I hate Vicky...lol. But that's how good the writing and narration is. You feel all the emotions.
I especially loved how the female and male voice were the individual narrator's and not a female voice acting male or the male voice acting female.
Superb Narration!!!!
