Publisher's summary
They say everyone has a secret. For Grace Adams, her secret lies underground and was called Rose. She was nine years old when she died...
Grace has lived in the same idyllic Scottish village for almost her entire life. It is the perfect place to raise a family. But then she receives a call from her childhood best friend, Orla, who she hasn’t heard from in years - for good reason.
And when Orla threatens to finally tell the truth about what happened to a little girl called Rose more than 20 years ago, Grace may finally have to face the fact that her darkest secret cannot remain buried forever . . .

Outstanding - Narration & Story
This is a story with many twists and turns. Deep understanding of human character and strong development of all characters. Loved the narrator! She covered a range of voices - young, old, male, female, Scottish, American.

Degenerated into whiny naval-gazing
I had high hopes for this book. It seemed to be a good premise for a story and it started out well enough. But by about halfway through, I had lost all sympathy for the main character and I was none too keen on any of the other people in the novel either. I suppose the author's idea was to point out that we all have skeletons in our cupboards, but it did just come across as having a really bad group therapy session full of people you just want to slap.

Mistakes of childhood
This was a great listen. Chapters moving back and forth through time telling the story of Orlagh and Grace and how their friendship soured in the latter teen years. They both have secrets, but how deadly are they?

Enjoyable Book - gets you hooked!
Where does Tell Me No Secrets rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 20
What other book might you compare Tell Me No Secrets to, and why?
Girl on the Train
What does Jane MacFarlane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Get narrator - brought the characters to life.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No laughter or tears - a bit of frustration with the characters and what they did, but that was probably because I wanted to get to the end and find out what had happened!
Any additional comments?
I felt it gradually connected your to each character and the back and forth of the past and present events worked well. You cared about the main characters and what happened to them, which gets you invested into the book.

Fantastic
Any additional comments?
Great story. Even though the main character could do with more questioning of her dilemma. Good flow to the story with little in the way of irrelevant detail, which I dislike. Excellent narration. I am very sensitive to narrators. All round good purchase. Wish there were more from this author on Audio

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.
