Publisher's summary

The series takes place in a world similar to our own but one where vampires, witches, werewolves and shape-shifters live among humans without their knowledge. These supernatural races make up a secret society known as the Night World, which enforces two fundamental laws to prevent discovery: 1) Never allow humans to gain knowledge of the Night World's existence and, 2) Never fall in love with one of them.

Keller is a black panther. She will do whatever it takes to survive. Keller meets her match when she’s hired to protect Iliana Harman, a blond ditz whose only concerns are clothes, boys, and parties. Can Iliana be the legendary Witch Child, one who can fend off the end of the world? Galen, the gorgeous boy destined to be the Witch Child’s soulmate, and Keller are falling in love, but it’s a love that will destroy everything. Keller knows she has to give him up — but her heart won’t listen.

Meanwhile, the Night World is closing in, to kill all three of them.

Spend some more time in Night World.

Shapeshifter action packed!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

There is a lot going on, perhaps a little too much, I would simplify the story line but it's sad to say that that would sacrifice a whole lot of characterization. It's a great story but it just felt cluttered. An organized well written clutter but cluttered non the less.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Honestly the story was good, I wouldnt change a thing about the story. This is an action packed story line full of self discovery and

Have you listened to any of Emily Foster’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First and only time I have heard Emily Foster and I would love to listen to her again.

Could you see Witchlight being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes and with insightful editing made into a stand alone film.

Any additional comments?

I learned that the last book of the Night World Series "Strange Fate" has been lost. LJ smith has written it but for some reason or another it has not been published. To my understanding this has been the case for close to 10 years. I am sad to say that at this point, you will be enjoying the Night World stories and characters without the ultimate closure a reader, a customer or a fan would expect.

Well Done!

Not a bad read in the series. My interest is peeked as to how the series will end. I enjoyed the mix of characters in witchlight and their struggles.

Good plot, bad narrator

I love L.J. Smith's books, but the narrator is so monotone. I really hoped that I could get used to it, but it was really jarring for entire book. I kept on getting pulled out of the story, and laughing at the way things were read aloud. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this solely based on the narrator.

I love these stories!

I've listened to these books for more than ten years along with The Vampire Diaries.

I know I'm kinda old for them but they're good fun.

I wish the last book she was writing could be published, maybe someday!

Narrator needed practice.

Great story. Glad I read the book first because the narrator was confusing. Every voice sounded like her own (except ancient grandma Harman who sounded like a 5-yr-old).
