Great book

My son and daughter listened to this book when we went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon! I even listened a little. It was a funny and entertaining story. I recommend this book for kids ages 8 - 12

I love it

I think I understand. Miss Zarves doesn't exist, but whatever doesn't exist, exists on the 19th story.

My kids love this book!

A very funny book read extremely well by the author. My 7 & 10 yr olds love it. Great for the car - the chapters are like little stories in themselves.

Sachar: Great writer, lousy performer

Would you consider the audio edition of Wayside School is Falling Down to be better than the print version?

Absolutely not.

Would you be willing to try another one of Louis Sachar’s performances?

Never

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book makes me laugh out loud. The audiobook loses all of the endearing appeal.

Any additional comments?

I normally love books read by the author, but this is just so bad. It's almost as if Sachar doesn't understand what is so funny about his hilarious writing. I have loved the book since childhood, and I thought it would be fun to listen to it again. He is not a performer. He cannot act. He cannot do voices. It's about as fun as listening to the iTunes Terms and Agreements. Boring.

Great listen with the kids!

Hilarious book that the whole family enjoyed. (Kids 8 and 10.) Kids had both already read the book, but loved listening to the stories anyway. Mom and I laughed so hard!
