Freya and Kalev are the newest members of an elite warrior clan, the Recondos. They are a unique reconnaissance team. They are true telepaths who can link their minds and communicate silently, over extended distances.
On their initiation recon, they see the enemies of their civilization for their first time: The Deciders and Protectors. They also witness a brutal execution ordered by the Deciders.
From that day, their courage and faith will be put to severe tests. They must rely on their gifts to face a cruel enemy and the challenges that young women and men encounter as they begin to mature.
If you could sum up Warrior's Psalm in three words, what would they be?
Thomas Drinkard served at the height of the Vietnam War as a Special Forces officer in the most elite unit in the war, MACV SOG. SOG was a top secret unit that operated small teams far behind enemy lines and across national borders. Mr. Drinkard’s time working with these clandestine operations gave him the unique perspective of both the reconnaissance and the commando mission of these teams. The contraction of these two words and missions is RECONDO which is basis for the secret army in “Warrior’s Psalm” While listening to “Warrior’s Psalm”, I can hear and feel the intensity of the mission and the mysterious nature of the triple canopy jungle in which we operated. His story of “the rift” and the classified communications sound all too familiar to this SOG team leader. The extreme evil portrayed in the “Deciders” reminded me of the evil and depravity witnessed in our communist enemy in Vietnam.
Once I started this wonderful fiction story of the conflict between two very different cultures, one very good and one very evil, I could not stop listening. I finished the book in one day and have started listening to it again. When I finished the book I emailed the author asking if there was a sequel in the works and I was assured that there was.
I highly recommend “Warrior’s Psalm” and commend my brother warrior Thomas Drinkard on this excellent work. Get your copy today!
