Publisher's summary

About three things I was certain.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood.

And Third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife, between desire and danger.

Deeply sensuous and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Twilight

I loved this audiobook. I finished it in two days and then listened to it again in two more days. I am hooked on this series and can't wait to get the rest of the books. I read some negative reviews of the narriator but I thought she was great. Definitely an A for me.

Bella's sarcasm is fun and funny. Edward's old world view is how I see things

much better than the movie

this book makes certain aspects of the movie make sense. yet, it blows the cinematic adaptation out of the water.

Lovin it!

I read this myself, and since I love sharing things with my hubby, we downloaded it so he could listen. My only complaint is the narrator. I really can't stand her voice! I mean, it's not killing me, but I wish it was someone else. :(
Other than that, I love this series and can't wait for the next one!

Great story...average reader.

Need someone who has more emotional reflection in her voice.
The way she over prenounced " Bella" got on my last nerve.

I feel in love with the book......

I love the author. I feel in love with the book series and finished each book consecutively. After the TWILIGHT series dies down, I wish the author would go into super-creative mode and create another series as good as this one.

An OK story despite a weak narration performance

Let me start by saying that I don't fit into the authors ideal intended age group, so my opinion may not valid. I listened to this book because I've watched the movies with my daughter, which I I reasonably enjoyed and because I typically like most vampire and werewolf related stories. The story isn't bad, but could be better with a stronger narrating performance. The narration is average at best. I listened to Stephen Kings Salem's Lot before this book, and this performance is much poorer and not even in the same ball park. With all that being said, if you're fourteen years old. you won't have any complaints with this audio book.
