Publisher's Summary

"Forgotten lines of ancient magic and the power of the throne. One will make them both his own if his heart sees the true power...."

So begins the ancient Cremelino Prophecy. Darius San Williams, son of one of King Edward's councilors, cares little for his father's politics and vows to leave the city of Anikari to protect and bring glory to the Realm. But when a new-found and ancient power emerges from within him, he and his friends Christine and Kelln are faced with decisions that could shatter or fulfill the prophecy and the lives of all those they know. Wizards and magic have long been looked down upon in the Realm, but Darius learns that no matter where he goes, prophecy and destiny are waiting to find him.

Just loved it, can't wait for the next book!

Would you listen to The Path of Destiny again? Why?

Yes, probably more than once! I loved the world the book is set in and the characters. The story line is interesting and contains lots of interesting elements that should keep the next books interesting. There's a fair bit in information so a second and even third listen should yield interesting things I missed or didn't pay attention to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Path of Destiny?

I can't decide, there were lots of great moments in this book, so picking just one is hard. And I don't want to give anything away that isn't covered in the blurb.

What about John Pirhalla’s performance did you like?

The character voices were excellent, John did a great job with the female voices.

Any additional comments?

A great first book, it contains lots of information about the world and other set-up material for the series buy also moves the story forward at a good pace.

Note: This book was provided free by the author/narrator/publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

Magic adventure

This book drew me in right from the beginning. It's a wonderful story about forgotten magic, amongst many other things. Darius is a likable character, although I *am* worried about him -- and I'm worried about Kelln.
The book doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger, but the story isn't finished, which, of course, leaves me unsatisfied, especially since the sequels aren't available as audio (at least, I couldn't find anything).
This means, I'll have to actually read them. *gasp* -- but I *must* know how it is going on.
To my relief, the sequels are available in print, and text to speech is enabled, so I'll have it read to me by a nice enough computer generated voice. Of course, this can't compare with
John Pirhalla, who does a great job narrating the story, but in lack of audio versions of the sequels, it will have to do.
I enjoyed the language, too: no swear words or adult content, so you can listen to it with your children. It's a wonderful adventure, and a great listen.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
