Publisher's summary

Using a cutting-edge technology called DHI - which stands for both Disney Host Interactive and Daylight Hologram Imaging - Finn Whitman, an Orlando teen, and four other kids are transformed into hologram projections that guide guests through the park.

The new technology turns out, however, to have unexpected effects that are both thrilling and scary. Soon Finn finds himself transported in his DHI form into the Magic Kingdom at night. Is it real? Is he dreaming?

Finn’s confusion only increases when he encounters Wayne, an elderly Imagineer who tells him that the park is in grave danger. Led by the scheming witch, Maleficent, a mysterious group of characters called the Overtakers is plotting to destroy Disney’s beloved realm, and maybe more.

This gripping high-tech tale will thrill every kid who has ever dreamed of sneaking into Walt Disney World after hours and wondered what happens at night, when the park is closed.

Awful narration

The narration of this book was so bad that we considered not even listening. The voices he switched back and forth between were so fake and over the top. It was almost painful to listen to. If there weren't more books in the series we probably would have stopped listening. I have read about half of the books in the series and my husband wanted to join in on the fun, so we continued to listen to this. Hopefully, he does not narrate the other books.

Disney Wonders still exist

my only issue was when I had read this series before, I had all the voices different in my head so at first the voices especially that of Wayne put me off but it was a minor set back

Interesting take on Disney

Very interesting story! Some of the character voices were a little bit obnoxious, but the story as a whole was good.

Fantastic family fun

What aspect of Gary Littman’s performance would you have changed?

At times the vocals were too quiet which made it hard for my daughter riding in the backseat to hear over the vehicle noise.

The best start to a series

I grew up with these books and every year I find myself going back and reading it again. I think I will do this for the rest of my life. Maybe one day this will be turned into a movie or a tv show but until then I will just use my imagination.

Excellent New Series

What made the experience of listening to The Kingdom Keepers the most enjoyable?

It is an interesting story because it is about a place the readers may have been and can see in their minds. It was well read with good voices.

What other book might you compare The Kingdom Keepers to and why?

It was a different type of book to others I have read.

Any additional comments?

I already got the second book in the series and liked it too. I am waiting on the third one now.

Awesomest book ever!!!

I love that you get the perspective of all the characters. Also I love the story so much I would listen to it all at once if I could but I have to go to bed. I would not suggest this to any one looking for a book for a kid under 9 because it has some parts were it gets a little scary but it depends on how brave your kid is.
I love the sound of the voice reading it.( I can be a little picky on voices and expression’s)
In conclusion I think this book is AWESOME!!!and that you should not get this book for someone under 9 again it depends on how brave your kid is.

I liked it!

Listened to it on a long drive. Certainly made it go faster. I was intrigued by the series, and now may get them all.

It takes place at Disney

This book really doesn't feel too far-fetched. It takes place at Disney. It has a diverse cast of characters. It's hecka fun. I'm an adult and I really enjoyed this. Looking forward to listening to book 2.
