Publisher's summary

In Hollywood, fame can be found on every corner and behind any door. You just have to know where to look for it. Nineteen-year-old Madison Parker made a name for herself as best frenemy of nice-girl-next-door Jane Roberts on the hot reality show L.A. Candy. Now Madison's ready for her turn in the spotlight and she'll stop at nothing to get it. Sure, she's the star of a new show, but with backstabbing friends and suspicious family members trying to bring her down, Madison has her work cut out for her. Plus, there's a new nice girl in "reality" town—aspiring actress Carmen Price, the daughter of Hollywood royalty—and she's a lot more experienced at playing the fame game... When the camera's start rolling, whose star will shine brighter?

Filled with characters both familiar and new, Lauren Conrad's series about the highs and lows of being famous delivers Hollywood gossip and drama at every turn.

One of the best narrators I've ever heard!

I was a fan of LA Candy series so when I stumbled across this on Audible I thought I would give it a go. I was so impressed with the narrator that it is going to be hard to listen to another one. She was so good. I just can't get over it. I found the characters to be well developed and easy to relate to. My favorite character was Madison because I feel like she went through the most change. It was nice to see all the sides of her. I feel like this story is just heating up and I can't wait to find out about the fallout of all the events that happened towards the end. I would recommend this series to anyone who wants a little closer look behind the scenes of reality tv. I know that some of you love it (even if you won't admit it).

it was hard...

it was very hard not to be bothered by the person's voice of whom was reading this book. Edward was supposed to be 18 years of age and the reader of this book obviously sounded much much older. there were many times to where I had to stop reading because it was hard for me to picture the character, Edward cohen. and because of this, it was hard for me two picture what was going on in the book at the time period
once I was able to zone out his voice and just really listen to what it was that he was saying, then I was able to really get into the book.it was then, at that point I was really able to see Edward Collins point of view.

Stephanie meijer, once again did a wonderful job with the twilight series, however, I do not feel that audibles did a good job at matching The voice with the character.

for this reason, I did not feel it would be fair for me to mark the book down a star because it was not against the book nor is Stephanie Myers writing.

everything else was great. Edward's point of view, the stories that happened before he met bella, the in between doors, even conversation that he has had with Bella that were not in the original twilight. this book puts everything else into perspective.

I would really like to see Edward's point of view from breaking Dawn.

The Fame Game

I got this book because I've always enjoyed going to Lauren Conrad's website and what she writes about on there. The book is good and I enjoyed listening to it.
