Meh
I've read/listened to everything Joyce Maynard has written and this is the only piece I was bored with. It doesn't even sound like her writing. It's not a terribly bad book, just mediocre and not at all her usual style of writing. If you asked me, I would swear it was penned by someone else or perhaps written when she was very young and not yet a consummate professional.

good story except for some antichristian garbage(christian characters portrayed as just plain mean and heartless)but if you can tolerate that it's a very good drama.
