They say you cannot divide your heart...

But, I find my heart divided.

In the name of all things Holy I do not even know where to start…

I was beyond excited to finally have the last installment of this series. I regret to say that for the majority of this book I was greatly dissapointed. It wasn't bad per say but very slow, sad, and extremely dramatic (not the good kind of drama either.) However, I had a feeling that I had to hold on. That, like the characters in this book, the end would justify the pain it took to get there. I was right. I WAS RIGHT!!!!

Fans of this series I don't think you will be disappointed with the conclusion. Heck you might not be disappointed at all. This book raised so many questions about death, life, and love. Keeping me pondering the three long after the last sentence. This series, I think has much more depth then its sister The Mortal Instruments. At the end Infernal Devices is a triumph and I am ever glad to know it.

There was no lack of tears on my part so watch out for that one. If you are a cryer you should probably save the end for someplace other then work (my mistake.)

Oh, and Will you are by far my favorite. Ever.

I Completely Enjoyed It

What made the experience of listening to The Clockwork Princess the most enjoyable?

The voice actor's accents help really paint the picture in your mind. I think Ed Westwick did a better job with Will but Daniel Sherman does the perfect Jem voice. But there is a lot of chinese and welsh in this novel and the narration helps with that.

What other book might you compare The Clockwork Princess to and why?

I can't compare it to anything else. It stands out to be a novel on its on.

Which character – as performed by Daniel Sharman – was your favorite?

Jem because he actually makes him sound strong and manly. Other actors always made him sound weak and fragile.

And Woosley Scott. I never really like this character before but Daniel's narration helped me connect with him more.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were so many moments that pulled my heart strings. Anytime Will and Jem were together really seemed to be the most emotional for me. There is a love triangle in this novel but not in a sense of a girl has to choose between two boys. Tessa, Will and Jem all genuinely love one another enough to sacrafice themselves for the happiness of the other. That is a quality of the novel that I think makes it shine.

Any additional comments?

I would read this novel with the audio book. It is good to go back and listen after you have read the novel because Daniel does a good job. His pacing is a little slow for me to follow along with but that is why I just sit and listen. Trust me, if you are the type of person that enjoys listening to characters come alive, this will be a great purchase.

This is a book that you can't help but love

If you could sum up The Clockwork Princess in three words, what would they be?

Love, Sacrifice & Action!

Which character – as performed by Daniel Sharman – was your favorite?

I loved how he did Will's voice. In all the other audio books of this series no one really got Will's accent down but I think Daniel did. He did good for Tessa and Jem and everyone else too but I loved Will.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I couldn't help crying in the epilogue. It's a good ending but I couldn't help but cry.

Any additional comments?

This is a FANTASTIC conclusion to the series. It starts off fast paced and it doesn't really stop. I had a hard time turning it off and I got through it really really fast. I love Cassandra Clare and I think she is an amazing author and she didn't disappoint with this book.

Could Have Been Better!!! But It Was Good

I think this trilogy could have been a way much better one if it didn't focus so much about this love story as much as it did... I feel that more than half of this book was a love story and I really got a bit bored with that.. It really could have been an amazing series, but sadly i didn't find it amazing... I know lots of people are in love with this series and the other one, but its not for me.

But the ending of this book will be written down as one of THE best endings and most satisfying ones i've ever red... Almost started tearing up.. Really good.

Few good twists here and there, and overall it was a good book, and a good ending to this trilogy.

Daniel Sharman did a good job with the narration of this book, but I really really hated the fact that each book had a different narrator... Thats why i took my sweet time to finish this series so i could forget the voices which were performed by the previous narrators.

Exceeded Expectations

Would you listen to The Clockwork Princess again? Why?

Yes I would but I would listen to the full series again. It never disappointed me.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that Tessa, through her journey of life was able to have a life with both of her loves, in their own time.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not. But I did enjoy his narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, of course that would be when she transformed herself into the Angel

Any additional comments?

I did enjoy, very much, all 3 books in this series, however it was a little disorienting having different narrators for each book.

Romance Schmomance

So, I had never read even one Mortal Instruments book when I read the first book in this series. I had no idea what I was getting into. The first book was great. There was lots of mysteries and bad guys and Romance poetry quoting. While there was a love story involved... I would not have called it a romance novel.

By the second and third books the fact that the world was in peril seemed to come in a distant second to a bunch of BS romantic nonsense. So much so that we get the action climax a full 3 hours before the book actually ends!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a little romance in a story but i want the ratio to be like 90% action and 10% angst and longing. This book is about 85%: She loves them, they love her, they all love each other and nobody wants to hurt anyone else. Alright, I get it. How about that evil robot army? Let's stay focused on that!

So incredibly bad, so incredibly stupid, the only reason I finished it was to warn other people. Unless you really love reading about how blue some guys eyes are about a gazillion times DONT BUY THIS BOOK!

She Loves Her Characters as much As I do!

What made the experience of listening to The Clockwork Princess the most enjoyable?

Daniel Sharman gave a great performance. You could always hear the distinctions’ between the characters. Sherman was able to bring out all the emotions and the personality of each Character.

What did you like best about this story?

The epilog is what brought this story full circle. I was so hurt the way she left Jim at the end of the book, but the Epilog made up for the heartache. Great Ending to a Great Series!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried when I thought Jim was dead. I cried when Will finally dies with the people he loved most surrounding him. I was elated when Jim finally gets his life back and can live and love for one mortal lifetime.

Bittersweet but Satisfying Ending

After reading The Clockwork Prince, I seriously had no idea where the story was heading, nor did I know how I wanted it to end. The first two books were so amazing that I was afraid of being disappointed. We all knew that the story wasn't going to end well no matter what right? Well, you’ll find out soon enough if you haven't already. Cassie is a true expert on the element of surprise. The Clockwork Princess sent me on an emotional roller coaster like no other and wows me in every possible way! I'm sorry to see it end but hopefully we'll get to see some of the characters in City of Heavenly Fire.

Wonderful close to the series

Any additional comments?

This book, like the other two, was great! The story kept you gripped until the very end. It is heartbreaking, fulfilling, emotional, and full of love. I really enjoyed it and didn't want it to end. Narration was good and the accents were done well, but I wished they had just stuck with the narrators from book 2.

Couldn't stop listening!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! In fact I already have.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This book I really liked Jem. Granted he was not as prevalent as in the first two books but he was certainly my favorite character in this book.

Which character – as performed by Daniel Sharman – was your favorite?

Will was given the perfect voice during this performance. The Ed Westwick did a wonderful job with Will in Clockwork Prince but I thought Daniel Sharman got Will's character spot on.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time to listen to it all at once I would have! Unfortunately it took about 4 days.

Any additional comments?

Worth your credit! In fact I bought this one since I had already used my credit on Clockwork Prince and couldn't wait another 20 days to hear Clockwork Princess!
