Publisher's summary

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.

Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

MacMillan Audio- Stop Changing Narrator's

I could not be believe my ears, they changed the Narrator yet again, only this time it is worse than Hunted Narrator Jenna Lamia (who sounded 11).
Cassandra Morris sounds like she is maybe 8 yrs old and her pronunciation of the author's terminology is dare I say childish.
Please I encourage everyone to write MacMillan Audio and the Author's and beg them to please, please go back to Edwina Wren.

Reader is distracting

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The reader sounds like Nala or Simba as kids from The Lion King. Most 16 year olds I have met are pretending to be adults at least. Many of the words are changed to be more appropriate for.young listeners which does not sound.like the authors writing and is very distracting from the story line. The book was a lot more enjoyable to read.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Cassandra Morris?

Unsure, but someone with a less annoying rendition.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

If they did not use 13 year olds for the lead roles.

Wow

I'd perfer a different narator. This narator sounds too young. I really liked the book. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Not that bothered by the narrator actually

Good book, good story.

In disagreement with others on the narrator. Yes she sounds young and it's extremely annoying that they keep changing the narrator, but after a couple of chapters you get used to it, and she doesn't do that terrible of a job. I think she sounds invested.

reread

I love the house of knight series I decided to listen to them all over again. Our main character is in a love triangle, she loves 3 young men and finds herself not being able to give up any of them. Oh what is a girl to do? This was a good book and you definitely need to read the whole series to really appreciate them.

Reader is awful in comparison

The lady reading the first books was great, last book was rough but got use to it but THIS LADY.. cannot even pronounce “Feral” or “Neferet” or a few other things and she dies not even try to change the voices for the characters. Stevie Ray has a TWANG, and grandma is OLD, and Zoey should not sound like Aphrodite.

Great story. Narrator eh

I love these series and I've listened to every book so far. All of them amazing. However this narrator doesn't put as much personality into the different character voices like the previous did. She also finishes every line with a sound in her voice that drives me nuts. It's like her tone goes up and down at the last minute like she is always asking a question. It almost made me stop listening but the story line was more than enough to keep me going. Glad this book is over and what an ending!!! I can't wait for the next one!! Hopefully with a different narrator

Good and exciting book, annoying voice

In this book, so many things change in the series and it is fast paced and exciting. The only thing I had a problem with is the narrator of this book.

She mispronounces Erebus which is pretty annoying as well as a few other words within the novel. Also, the voice of a few characters doesn't change from the Zoey voice at all, Grandma shouldn't have a voice like Zoey! This being the 3rd time the narrator was changed is quite annoying.

However I was able to listen to the whole book and finish it in just a few days. Eventually I got used to her voice but wish it was another narrator.

This narrator

Idk how this lady got a job at all as an audio book reader. Her accents are terrible and nonexistent. And not only that but her story telling is terrible as well, zero depth. I am struggling thru the 10 HOURS I have to deal with this lady. If I could fast forward I would to save myself the torture.
