Publisher's Summary

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys - the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: He can control water - just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They're powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death. And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

When Hunter, the mysterious new kid in town, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head to head with Chris, and Becca wonders who's hiding the most dangerous truth of all....

Hard to follow

It was hard to understand or follow any story line at first. Couldn't figure out what was going on. Only action was towards the end. It just wouldn't be my first pick to recommend. Actually I wouldn't recommend it. I'm going to listen to it again and see if I pick up anything I didn't at first. I didn't get through the first chapter before wishing I had not purchased it.

Good Book

This is a Good Book, I Believe it was worth the credit... THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE WITH IT IS THE ENDING!! However I just noticed it's a series so I'm hoping the next book picks up RIGHT WHERE THIS ONE ENDED OR ELSE I WON'T BE A HAPPY WOMAN! I'll modify my review after I find out if the issue gets fixed....

I just kept getting lost.

I could not keep my interest long enough to even keep the characters organized. I had to start over several times to remind myself who was who and their relationships & importance. I believe I finally figured it out but I pretty sure I won't bother with the other books in this series, which is a disappointment for me.

I hate this freakin book

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Its so slow. I wanted to kill myself. Its so boring. So much talking.

What was most disappointing about Brigid Kemmerer’s story?

It took so so freakin long for Becka to choose. I mean come on, even a 16 year old can figure out who she really likes. No action. No nothing.

How could the performance have been better?

Everyone sounded pretty much the same

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NO
