Publisher's summary

Two friends face the Dark Knight’s deadliest scheme, but only one knight has the courage to overcome. Sir Quinlan leaves his boyhood friend to serve the Prince, fighting a battle darker and more intense than any he’s ever known. The mysterious Sir Baylor recruits him into the ranks of an elite unit of knights known as the Swords of Valor, but when tragedy strikes and everyone blames Quinlan, the Swords of Valor disband, ending a legacy of heroic deeds. Alone and despairing, Quinlan wanders the kingdom, fleeing his past. His providential encounter with Taras, a mysterious Silent Warrior and former trainer of Valor Knights, offers Quinlan a chance to redeem himself and learn the ways of the secret warriors.

The training is grueling, and just when Quinlan seems to have left his failures behind, he receives an impossible challenge from the Prince—one that will force him to face his past…and the mighty men who blame him for the tragedy that ruined them. Can Quinlan reunite the Valor Knights in time to save the people from the Dark Knight’s evil plot to rule the Kingdom of Arrethtrae, or will the Valor Knights lose the most important battle of all?

This Book Hit Home

I finished "Sir Quinlan and the Swords of Valor" by Chuck Black. This book hit me more than any other of the series. Sir Quinlan’s story is similar to my own. Quinlan committed himself completely to the Prince. But when his mistake had devastating consequences, he believed he had messed up so much he could never be used by the Prince. Quinlan has to face his self pity and learns the truth of 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
For anyone who messed up and believe the lie that it’s over, this book is for you.

Sir Quinlin:

I loved all the characters in it!

I think that everyone should read this book. It shows forgiveness and courage in it, and I think that in it, there is something beautiful. In the characters, and the storyline.

Loved Quinlan's transformation.

A truth rings through this story that calls real Christians to serious contemplation of their lives and choices...

Exciting and enjoyable!

It is a wonderful, God lifting story without the glorifying of cults and sin.
We have listened to this story over and over.

A gripping story

I enjoyed this story very much!
But also just saying it is more for 10 and up because it gets pretty intense.
It shows the amazing faith of Christians only in an enchanting story which makes it easier to understand. I can not believe that someone actually came up with a story like this! The background effects are wonderful and really bring the story to life! The narrator and voices are very enjoyable.

Engaging....worthy of listening more than once.

I enjoyed listening to Sir Quinlan. The allegory of Christianity and trials and tests of a genuine devoted service to God is plainly understood. It may be that obvious allegory which made it all the more enjoyable for me.
The mix of characters and personalities was well planned and I found each capable of holding the listener's attention.
The narrator and accompanying voice actors were skilled and seemed to give life to the individual characters. Kudos for a job well done.
This wont be the last of this particular Chuck Black series to which I will listen.

Meaningful story

And what I consider to be Chuck Black’s best of this series, he narrates how the least can become the greatest when they surrender to the Prince.
The only downside that I found was the horribly fake southern accent by Lady Reeza. She was a minor role and not worth losing any stars.
