Publisher's summary

Popular author Gordon Korman pens a funny fish-out-of-water tale that even the most reluctant reader will find impossible to resist. Capricorn Anderson has spent his entire life on a farm with his hippie grandmother. After an accident puts Grandma in the hospital, Cap is forced to attend Claverage Middle School and live with his guidance counselor. The tradition at Claverage is for students to nominate the biggest nerd for class president, and Cap is the obvious choice. But with his odd ways and positive outlook, Cap just might turn the joke upside down by becoming the best class president ever.

won't be able to stop listening

My 12 year old daughter listened to this book she loved it. I couldn't get her to stop listening to it. She has short term memory loss and it is very hard for her to remember things but she listened to this book and told me and her teachers all about it and she only had to listen to it once which is a first. I also listened to it it was great .

Pausalicious

I am a little disappointed with the audiobook for this title. I use this audiobook to work with struggling readers, but the pauses between every sentence are unnaturally long. Because of the pauses, it seems to take forever to labor through a chapter. I have a hard time coaxing my students not to read ahead of the audio.

Laugh Out Loud Hilarity

Listened to this on a long car ride hauling three generations to a family reunion. Everyone was laughing! A funny story with a strong warm human heart beating at the center.

Loved it!

Great concept! Accurate portrayal of teens and their peers. Loved the idea of introducing someone to that middle school environment who was completely unfamiliar with that setting. Great performance.

Awesome!

A full cast gives a great performance. I enjoyed the journey Capricorn goes through to learn about the modern world and the ups and downs of middle school.

They is such joy in knowing people who can't get their feathers ruffled.

A kids book I enjoyed

My 6th grader had to read this for her summer assignment. We decided to "read" it together in the car as well as in print. This was a good story, and started many family conversations about bullying.

Omg love it

I love cap gave Sophie the bracelet. I recommend it to everyone. I give it five stars it was so good. But the sad part was when they sold garland. But the happy part is when cap goes back to c average school and see all his eleven hundred friends. And I am 10 years old and I think it is wonderful to read. READ THIS BOOK! And if you see this Gordon Korman please write back. And I want everyone to read it and give it a 5 stars cause it is great - Ava

Great Family Listen

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend this audio book to anyone with pre teens or young teens. It was a great family listen my son picked out.

Would you recommend Schooled to your friends? Why or why not?

For young readers

What three words best describe the narrator’s voice?

Great for Title

Could you see Schooled being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No not enough content for an entire movie

Any additional comments?

Perfect for a family listen in the car or just doing house work. Love it as an alternative to radio or TV. I let my kids pick it out, but it was good enough I liked listening right along with them.
