Publisher's Summary

Graham Malone is my roommate, my personal eye candy, the reason I get up in the morning smiling. (That could be from the illicit dreams I have about him, too, I suppose. Let's move on.) He's also beautiful to look at, but his heart is where his true beauty lies. Take away the exterior, and the interior still shines. I love him. I mean, I'm pretty sure I do, having never been in love before.

Anyway, it seems legit. And now his brother, Blake, is here, and, well, he's the complete opposite of Graham. Sarcastic, brooding, and totally available. But he's leaving soon, and Graham's the one I want. I shouldn't have to remind myself of this, right? I wouldn't have to if Blake would quit looking at me like I'm something yummy and he's starving.

Here's a toast to roomies: the ones you should never fall in love with. Or something.

No just no

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Ok, so this book was so bad, that, for the first time in 3 years I went to sleep without an audiobook. Not enough setting, backstory, boring story, and no plot. It is just BAD.

What was most disappointing about Lindy Zart’s story?

Nothing to make me feel like I was in the book and nothing that made me want to keep reading.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The performance was great.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Deadness

What's Romance without laughter <br />

I almost passed this book up because of the bad reviews. I'm so glad I didn't. This book was so funny I really liked Kennedy the female MC she's smart and so witty. Yes the two MC love interest is drawn out, but Kennedy's smart funny charm makes this store line so fun. There are no hot and heavy sex moments but there is a tiny bit of steam. Each chapter had me laughing. This book really is better than all the bad reviews. I'm so happy I listen to this book all the way through.

Surprisingly cute...sort of

The main character is quite annoying but she grows on you. It's not a true love triangle which I was quite happy about. What I didn't expect? Zero love scenes. Sort of a let down. I don't need a lot of details but nothing at all? If you're looking for a mostly wholesome romance this will work, but wouldn't spend a credit.

didn't love it didn't hate it

a somewhat forgettable "read." however, I did wish well for the characters and they were developed. I just wish there were more to such a simple story that gave me a more emotional response.

Worst Narration EVER

Would you try another book from Lindy Zart and/or Tara Sands?

This story was not good, and the narration was probably the worst I've ever made it through. There were a lot of scenes where I was wondering why they were in the book, as there was no apparent reason for them to be included. Like the whole foot thing in the beginning. It was basically just gross, and providing the friend and potential other love interest could have been done in a less gross and superfluous way. And the way she is attracted to the brother. The whole time I'm like why is this even happening? I respected her a lot less. She was so whiny, self absorbed, and selfish, why would a nice guy like the main character ever be interested in her? It was terrible. I'm returning it.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The idea wasn't a bad one, but the way that the author told the story did not make me like the main woman character. I suppose it could be better if she was less selfish or at least learned any lessons from being so.

How could the performance have been better?

The woman sounded like she was in her 50's rather than the voice of a young woman. It was really distracting.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Mostly I was just questioning my ability to keep listening. The main character was a terrible person, and the narrator only made her worse.

Any additional comments?

Don't buy.

Something to daydream about...

For a plotline with very few intense climax points, I loved this book! It was absolutely hilarious and the bond between Graham and Kennedy wasn't an over cheesy relationship which I usually find myself feeling towards most pairs. It's for sure the kind of relationship he daydream about having. Sands did a wonderful job portraying Kennedy and I loved her in this particular book. Would definitely for ages 14-18.

Unconventionally Awesome female lead

Loved the story start to finish, the characters were unexpected and many layered. The female lead quirky and relatable but exceptionally unique. Narrorator did an awesome job and had really great inflections. the opening chapter is a little gross, I mean toes yuck, but after that bit it is a delightful journey.

Surprisingly great novel

Started off a little slow however turned into a great funny novel with depth. Couldn't stop listening, I was hooked. The characters personalities worked and made the storyline that more entertaining.
