Don’t listen unless prepared to cry

So far I’ve listened to the first and second installments in the series. Looking forward to the third and last one. I’ve lost count of the number of times the story has made me cry due to the author’s excellent skill in describing emotions of the characters and stimulating my feelings of empathy. The plot line rings true with veracity. Glad I discovered these three books.

Great for teen

Great was a great teaching of issues in high school with coming out. Only wish the narrator would have had different voices for the 5 main characters.

Read it growing up

I read these story growing up and going through puberty, listened to it before I buy the book for my nephew who is 12 and came out to me as possibly being bisexual. I’m so excited to gift him the trilogy!

Nice Story

This series is a great interwoven story of 3 gay individuals’ coming of age stories. Very good, especially when you consider that it predates the popularity of this genre by a few years. One interesting gripe, and I don’t know if this slipped past the editors in the actual print copy or was merely a slip of the narrator’s tongue, is that I’ve heard a few different instances of characters accidentally being referred to by other characters’ names.

love this book

Everytime I read this book or books like this one makes me happy and mad at the same time. Happy because two people finally found each other and I hope they remain together. Mad because of the comments and the different approaches that each of the boys receive. One boy was popular and when he came out, he got praise for it. The other one, whom was the other boy boyfriend, came out but got so hated for it and went through the shit he went through. I am gay but never came out until I finish high school. I only let people know I am gay when they ask. I just wanted to add one more thing before I go, why do straight guys always assume that a boy is straight if he don't act flamboyant. Also I would like to know about there stories after the book "Rainbow Road"

Story a bit flat

Story is a bit slow and a bit flat. Characters need a bit more character. Good issue coverage with coming out (including sports). Narrator is ok, perhaps more voices would make things a bit more interesting.
