There are worse things than death, worse people too. The "talk" was bad enough, but how many teens get told that they're a goddess? When her mom tells her, Persephone is sure her mother has lost her mind. It isn't until Boreas, the god of winter, tries to abduct her that she realizes her mother was telling the truth. Hades rescues her, and in order to safely bring Persephone to the Underworld he marks her as his bride. But Boreas will stop at nothing to get Persephone. Despite her growing feelings for Hades, Persephone wants to return to the living realm. Persephone must find a way to defeat Boreas and reclaim her life.

Would you listen to Persephone again? Why?
YES. I would definitely listen to Persephone again and I plan on doing that many times. The story was wonderful and the characters were deep. I was able to get into the story very easily. What was one of the most memorable moments of Persephone?
Hades kissing Persephone and marking her as his bride, omg. *chills* Didn't even know him yet but I fell in love right there. What about Kaitlin Bevis’s performance did you like?
I loved how she added tone and snark to her character's dialogue. I didn't have to squint and figure things out myself, because Bevis let me know exactly what was going on at all times. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, of course. But how am I supposed to share these moments without spoiling the whole story?Any additional comments?
I loved the new take on the classic Greek myth of Persephone and Hades. Bevis did a wonderful job of taking a fairly-well-known story and turning it into something new and exciting!Amazing take on a classic tale!

Where does Persephone rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Since Persephone was the first audio book I have listened to since way back when I will say audio books have come very far since those days. So it will be rated first in line for now. What did you like best about this story?
I love the enthusiasm with which Kaitlin Bevis speaks, the way her voice got excited, quiet or whatever needed to set the tone.Have you listened to any of Kaitlin Bevis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first for now, I am moving on to the next in the series so I will let you know.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Have you ever wondered what realizing you are a Goddess would feel like?Any additional comments?
I would recommend having this audio book around for those times you would like to be reading but can't stop to read, such as; exercising, car trips, doctor's office. I am sure you get the point.Love mythology!

Would you consider the audio edition of Persephone to be better than the print version?
No, the print version was easy enough to read; and you could give the characters their own voice.Would you be willing to try another one of Kaitlin Bevis’s performances?
NO. she absolutely killed the story. She never stopped where their should have been a pause and just had a monotone voice the whole time. She didn't even try to give any difference to the male and female voiced characters. As the Author of the books she should have been much better at reading her own novel and getting the story to be amazing.
Any additional comments?
Stick with print on this one.Story is great.... Narrator not so much
