Publisher's summary

From the best-selling author of The Chemical Garden trilogy: On the floating city of Internment, you can be anything you dream. Unless you approach the edge.

Morgan Stockhour knows getting too close to the edge of Internment, the floating city in the clouds where she lives, can lead to madness. Even though her older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. If she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in her best friend, Pen, and in Basil, the boy she's engaged to marry.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially once she meets Judas. Betrothed to the victim, he is the boy being blamed for the murder, but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find - or whom she will lose.

Ruined my Credit

Lauren DeStefano wrote her frist trilogy, "The Chemical Garden" and I enjoyed the ideas and storylines. There were inconsistencies and disconnects, but liked it enough to try out her latest offering and was sorely disappointed.

First book in yet another dystopian trilogy with arranged marriages; assigned jobs/roles; and a corrupt clandestine government waiting to be overthrown. Please stop the merry-go-round, I want to get off. For every "Perks of Being a Wallflower" or "Fault in Our Stars" young adult triumphs, you must wade through a sea of mediocrity like "Perfect Ruin" and while I won't give up the search, I will warn other travelers. Beware: predictable, farcical, and redundant ahead.

Very Lovely Story

The pacing was perfect. The story was interesting. This was a totally solid book. I cared about the characters, and what happened to them. I wish that the NA or Adult Genre had more books like this! I am officially now a Lauren DeStefano fangirl!

A Good Dystopian Book!

What made the experience of listening to Perfect Ruin the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the narrator.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked the small jumper girl, I forget her name. She shows courage.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the entire book equally.

Any additional comments?

This book was a bit short and well written. I'm sure there will be a second book. It's worth buying if you like dystopian books.

HUGE LAUREN DESTEFANO FAN!

I loved the chemical garden series & am really excited & completely delighted with the internment chronicles. I'm tarting book 2 & already anxious for book 3 & I'm old lol. I love the way she delves into the secret parts of us & addresses the issues we don't even know are hidden within us.
