Publisher's summary

The last thing Cammie Morgan remembers is leaving the Gallagher Academy to protect her friends and family from the Circle of Cavan - an ancient terrorist organization that has been hunting her for over a year. But when Cammie wakes up in an Alpine convent and discovers that months have passed, she must face the fact that her memory is now a black hole. The only traces left of Cammie’s summer vacation are the bruises on her body and dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It’s a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and will stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

WHEN REALITY SETS IN

** NO SPOLIERS ABOUT THIS BOOK IN THIS REVIEW;) **

ABOUT THIS BOOK: Cameron Ann Morgan has gone through a lot of things, a lot of scary things. In the past years Cammie has been "fake kidnapped once, truly kidnapped twice, and targeted by an international terrorist organazation." Cammie has no idea why. But after she left the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Woman at the end of the summer, Cammie wakes up in a convent in the mountains. It is months after Cammie has left her school, her friends,, and her life. But Cammie has no recollection, no memory of what happened to her since she left her school. Cammie is desperate to find out, but even her friends don't think she is innocent. Cammie is about to dip a toe into a whole world she might not be ready to handle.
MY REVIEW: Omg I love this book. The narrator makes Cammie sound much older, I love that. Cammie does something horrible that haunts her, people she trusted turn bad. Secrets turn up, Cammie doesn't know what to do and who to trust. But she will try to find her memories again.

NARRATION QUALITY: love this! Some parts feel a little slow, but most parts are fast at the right places. Some of the women sound like men but other than that it's amazing.

WRITING: Awsome, like always.

RECCOMENDATION: Anyone can read/listen to this book, but I recommend this book to teens and young adults (13+).

Best of the series so far!

Any additional comments?

I really can't believe how emotionally invested I am in this series. For me the books started out as fluffy, cute, light reads. In the last few books, the girls are growing up and learning that while it may be fun and have it's perks, it's not at all easy being a Gallagher Girl. I was definitely shocked by the direction this book went. I found myself almost depressed for Cammie throughout most of the first half. There were lots of twists and interesting developments that have me craving the next book already. I really find myself impressed by the growth we've seen in Cammie over the course of the last two books. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Another Great Gallagher Girls book!

When I give a book five stars it means I LOVED the book. It may or may not fall into the category of amazing literature, but it kept me entertained or I found the information inside fascinating and/or helpful.

RECAP: Gallagher Girl, Cammie Morgan wakes up in a convent, confused, scared, and very sore. She has no idea how she’s spent her summer vacation, but it doesn’t appear to have been much of a vacation. Her loyal friends and sister Gallagher girls (and her boyfriend) help her to regain her memory.

BLUSH FACTOR/LANGUAGE: None

THE WRITING: Ally Carter knows how to hold a reader’s attention.

STAND-ALONE OR CLIFFHANGER ENDING? You COULD end the series with this book, but why would you when it’s so good and there’s only one book to go?

AUDIBLE PRESENTATION: Fantastic!

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: Very well done.

BOTTOM LINE: I love this series. As I’ve said in other reviews of these books, they do get a little darker as they get further along so if you’re planning on buying them for an early teen, you might want to read them yourself first.

Yes!

Any additional comments?

I don't think I can say enough about Ally Carter. I love her books--loved them as a kid and now as a young professional. I think everyone should read them, even if the settings are a bit nuts. Who doesn't want to go to spy school?
