Great Ending

This book provided a perfect ending to the Vampire Academy series. The characters were consistent, the plot was well-paced, and the mystery kept me guessing until the end. I loved every minute of it.

For the most part, Emily Shaffer's performance was good. I still don't like her voices for Adrian or Dimitri, but everything else sounds just about right.

Worth the wait!

I was first introduced to the VA series by a co-worker and was immediately hooked. I usually don't start a series until all of the installments are out, but Richelle's style and excellence in continuity put me in the "hurry up and wait mode". It was so worth it!
The romance makes one's heart ache and soar at the same time and is so tastefully written; completely appropriate for the younger listener. Listening to this series makes grabbing the tissues much easier. The mysteries are impossible to second guess and left me drop-jawed. Listening to this final installment of the VA series was truly amazing... just when I thought it was over... it wasn't... and I still want more! I guess I'll keep waiting for the spin-off... and listen to this series (as well as her others) again and again.

LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

I have been anxiously awaiting this book for the last few months....and it has delivered! I couldn't put it down!! I read it in less than 24 hours. It wrapped everything up nicely and although I am sad to see this series go....I love the way this ended. Narrator is ok, but the book itself out shines any issues with the narrator. I would have liked to see them go with the SAME Narrator for every book, but that is my only complaint! If you love Vampire Academy books, you'll love this!

I am sad to see it end, but it was perfect timing.

There were a few loose ends, but i suppose in life it will always be like that. I think that it was a great conclusion to this series! I am still not happy with the narrator, her male voices make me cringe and it is such a shame because the male characters in this book are so amazing. Her voice makes Demetri come off sounding like some skeezy back alley dude and Adrian is hard not to laugh at. That aside... this story keeps you on your toes and Rose Hathaway never lets you down. She stays true to the character we have grown to admire in this series.

Wonderful....but could have been five stars

I have read this entire series twice....all of the books are very good. I enjoyed this book, but I wish that things had ended better for Adrian. One of my favorite series....read and enjoy. I love Emily Shaffer as the narrator, she has a great Dimitri and Adrian voice :)

Great Conclusion!

I have loved the Vampire Academy series since the first chapter of the first book. This book was a great conclusion, even though not all things worked out the way I wanted them too. I admit to figuring out who the Queens killer was far before it was revealed, but the manner in which it was revealed was good and overall I am very satisfied in how this series has ended. I can't wait for the spin off series to begin!

Loved this series!

I admit it was slow to start in the first book but it picks up into a sprint in book 3 and keeps on going! I really hope more books are coming out, a lot of unanswered question with all the sub-characters. If you're not into vampire books don't worry that really isn't a main issue in the books, you barely think of anyone as a vampire, but just people. It's just mysterious like Harry Potter, but a bit more grown-up and instead of wizards they're vampires. I completely love Rose Hathaway, she is a smart mouth teen / super hero, I could bask in her awesomeness! This series is definitely credit worthy!

Love Love Love this series

Where does Last Sacrifice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

this is my favorite series by far, i am a 40 plus mother and i just love this series of books and i love how everything is wrapped in a non so perfect bow but still ends perfectlly

What did you like best about this story?

it finally ends the way i want it to end, it builds and so pleasantly surprised.

What about Emily Shaffer’s performance did you like?

i do like her voice and you are able to tell which character is who

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes!!!!!with out spoiling the ending, when one of the main characters finally realizes his destiny.

Any additional comments?

if you are a fan of any vampire series, this is the series to read. It beats out the blue bloods by a long shot.

didn't want to say goodbye

While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to Rose and crew, I'm really glad she finally got her slice of happiness as did most of the other characters, though not all and for those few my heart broke for them. All of the characters have grown so much over the books, especially Rose and Lissa. In this book they really seemed to come into their own, and shine. Some of the ending events were a surprise, but I think everything worked out the way it should in the long run. At least the good-bye isn't really final as I'm sure (praying) some of my favorite characters will have a least small parts in the upcoming spin off series and will find their own happiness there. I'm sad to see this series end but I have to say that I really enjoyed the whole series and and highly recommend it. As always Emily Shaffer did a wonderful job as the narrator.

B...O...R...I...N...G...

The book might have been a little more enjoyable if not for one of the worst narrators ever to read a book. The story just drones on and on without any real excitement with the exception of some overly emphasized fights...blah, blah, blah. These books are very juvenile and the narrator is inexperienced and annoying to listen to. If you are not a teen, you would more likely enjoy the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost. In the future, if Emily Shaffer is the narrator, I will read the book instead of purchasing the audiobook, she gives me a headache, I actually have to stop listening to the book for a while to get a break from her whining. Normally I can't wait to listen to whichever book I am enjoying at the time, usually finishing them within a few days of beginning them, but I have been weeks trying to finish this book simply because of the terrible narration.
