Great In Every Way
Great on every level. Narrator was fantastic, both in range of unique character voices and engaging rather than monotonous. The story went by fast, which is a testament to the well-written sequence of events, interesting characters, and balance between action and mystery. Looking forward to the next 2 books!

awesome
as a huge fan of assassin's Creed I always love being able to delve more into the world. I like that this is a completely independent story yet you do see little tie-ins to previous games. The guy reading it was amazing the accents weren't cringy at all and pretty good list some minor issues with the female voices but hey he's a guy. if you're a fan of assassin's Creed definitely check this out.

it's a book it just feels wrong though
it was a good book but all it does is call back to the Assassin's Creed games and for me it feels like it doesn't really fit with Assassin's Creed lore it's a book it just feels wrong though

Unexpectedly good
I listened to this book just to decide whether it would be appropriate to recommend to my middle school students. I really enjoyed it, and I have no real interest in the Assassin's Creed video game, aside from the historical aspect. This book was well-written and managed to show both historical and contemporary perspectives on an often unknown bit of American history while still managing to keep the reader interested in the contemporary aspect of the story. I am looking forward to the next novel!

loved listening to this series. the books stay true to the assassin's Creed world. the voice acting is excellent. Matthew Kirby does a fantastic job for both young adult readers and adults alike. Would definitely recommend!
