Would you listen to In the Hand of the Goddess again? Why?

I have many times and plan to again.

What did you like best about this story?

There are many things I enjoyed about this book. The clash between Alanna and Roger, the witty style of writing... I could go on for hours.

Have you listened to any of Trini Alvarado’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This performance was on par with her others.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and in my most recent listen I actually did.

A heart pounding sequel

I listened to the audio edition of "In the Hands of the Goddess" and enjoyed the continuing adventures of Alanna. In this book, Alanna becomes a squire and must face her worst fears accompanied by her faithful companions: Prince Jonathan, the cat faithful and George.

I was disappointed a bit with this Alanna book. Mainly because I think Alanna's romantic adventures with older men were a bit strange. Why can't Alanna meet a boy her own age? In particular the relationship with George... I don't care for George and he is... 7 years older? Yuck.

Overall, if you like Alanna you will enjoy this. Although I think the talking cat Faithful was a little much. This was a good book. Recommend for teens and young adults.

Good, but not as good as its predecessor...

I’ve loved this series forever and I just realized they’re audiobooks lol. The only critique I have is that although I really enjoy the narrator, I wish they could give it a little more oomph. Maybe in the next one! :)

I love this series.
