Publisher's summary

The Pants first came to us at the perfect moment. That is, when we were splitting up for the first time. It was two summers ago when they first worked their magic, and last summer when they shook up our lives once again. You see, we don't wear the Pants year-round. We let them rest so they are extra powerful when summer comes. (There was the time this spring when Carmen wore them to her mom's wedding, but that was a special case.)

Now we're facing our last summer together. In September we go to college. And it's not like one of those TV shows where all of us magically turn up at the same college. We're going to four different colleges in four different cities (but all within four hours of one another, that was our one rule). We're headed off to start our real lives.

Tomorrow night at Gilda's we'll launch the Pants on their third summer voyage. Tomorrow begins the time of our lives. It's when we'll need our Pants the most.

Spend another summer with the girls of the Sisterhood.

"A strong ending to a series about four fully developed, strikingly different, equally fascinating teenage girls." (Booklist)

Girls in Pants

Ann Brashares has done it again. She has written a wonderful novel that makes you care even more about her characters.

In Girls in Pants we find the four Septembers in the last summer before they go their seperate ways off to college. Each girl has to overcome some obstacle during this summer, but with the help of The Pants, and her friends, each makes it through. The girls, Lena, Carmen, Tibby and B, all learn a little more about themselves through both happy and sad times.

I feel as if I really know these girls. I have come to care about the characters and want to know what happens with them. Greatly written, Girls in Pants flows along smoothly and I find myself sad when the book ends. I certainly hope this is not the last we get to read of the girls. I look forward to more!

Nostalgic favorite

Of the four in the series this one is always my favorite because it’s a beautiful reminder of growth and determination of all four of the main characters. I am grown now but still enjoying traveling along with the sisterhood as they do life together.

Amazing!

I absolutely love the narrator and genuinely believe that she’s the best one yet. As for the story, I think it’s the best of them all! 😁

Lighthearted and Engaging

I have been using audiobooks as a motivator for walking. I can't listen if I'm not moving. I have walked around 30 miles while listening and went out last night for one more stroll since I knew I was near the end.
I enjoy the array of personalities and their connection to one another despite their differences. I enjoyed the storyline with Carmen and Lena's grandmother. It broke my heart to see how this vibrant grandmother started withering away having been taken from her home in Greece.
I found myself lost in the discoveries Lena made about her family through her art.
The story is lighthearted and captivating; it did not disappoint. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Favorite of all of the books

This is my absolute favorite book in the series and always gives me a seance of happiness and innocence, though I enjoyed the fourth book and tolerated the fifth, this book feels like the real end to me, before Lena, Carmen, Tibby, and Bee go on to live their grown up lives and really just get to be free for one last summer.

Another great addition to their story

If you enjoyed the previous books, this one will not disappoint! I prefer this narrator, she does a fantastic job of giving each character their own voice. The writing is superb - you feel all of the emotions and genuinely come to care about the characters. The end left me smiling.

These series are so good, every time I am close to the end I always break out into tears. Each book is amazing. No one is better than the other. Each are so interesting and take you for a wild ride. You get to know the characters (Bee, Tibby, Carmen, and Lena) so well. I can't wait to read the next two! If you are reading this... Read these books they are amazing.
