great book cannot wait for the next book

great book cannot wait for the next book. great characters, complex plot, ending full of suspense and possibility.

A very intriguing dragon story .......

I like this book because it is written in a way that keeps you on your toes by making you want to read more. In my opinion the reason why this book is interesting is because of the way the story unravels into a much bigger pictures. The tempo of the story is also great addition.

I recommend this book to anyone who is a reader who likes a book which a storyline that has a steady tempo and who likes a mythical mystery in a book.

On a scale of 1-100,000,000 of intriguing and interesting story’s I give this book a whopping 200,000,000,000 !!!!

very engaging

easily enjoyable.
slow burn in beginning but very satisfying once the action picks up. I'm so ready for book 2.

Narrator could be better.

Narrator speaks too quickly and doesn't pause when starting a new thought, paragraph, or such. Listeners get confused because it's not obvious that she's starting a new thought or paragraph. No need for such fast reading here.

engrossing story

I listened to the first chapter of this and liked the story and narrator well enough to download the book. This book was so engrossing that I found myself listening to it when I should have been doing other things, and thinking about the story when I was not listening. I was disappointed to discover that this was not a long series of books; I was looking forward to working my way through it!

A Fantasy for all Ages

A friend of my seventeen yr old son suggested this story to me, and how very pleased I am that he did. As in Harry Potter, this is a fantasy story for all ages. Vibrant with deatail, I could so easily imagine walking amongst the bustling lanes of this exotic setting. As a huge fan of scifi/fantasy, it was actually very nice to find myself away from the typical setting of castles, Elves and the numerous array of usuall characters found within a fantasy story. Very likeable characters, with plenty of intrigue, adventure and just enough magic as not to overwhelm the story.. I can highly suggest this to any fan of fantasy of all ages..

Pretty good

Very entertaining story, not boring, and quick. The reader was nice as well and very easy to understand. The recording of the reader how ever could have been a little better. At time listening to it on my Iphone the recording sounded as if it was a recording of a recording. But still very easy to understand and enjoy

Disappointing

Anything that could go wrong, does. I find that annoying. I didn’t like listening to adult men touch this teenage girl and assault her. There is a lot of violence in this book, for example, a baby is murdered. Had I known these things beforehand I wouldn’t have bought it. The story is not finished and does not feel complete by the end of this book. I think, even in a series, each book should be a finished work or else you’re paying for only part of a story. There can be a greater story at large throughout a series but each book should give you a satisfying story and leave you curious for more. The dragon parts were cool but written in a confusing way.

I love this book and all three twists and turns. kinda hopeful for a third

Great Story

This book has very well-developed, yet human characters. The author has crafted the story so well, that I became involved with the story. As a listener, I felt drawn to, or repelled by every character. They are all real, well-rounded people.
The story builds very nicely. The final 1/3 of the book is so intriguing that I had to listen to the final hours nonstop.

The only flaw in this book is that the main character seems a little dense--she should have figured out the clues earlier in the plot. The book leaves opening for the sequel to wrap up the loose threads left dangling.
This is a great book!

I recommend this book and look forward to the publication of the sequel in 2010.
