I am very interested in finishing this book but cannot seem to find the complete story. Otherwise, the story is compelling and I love the descriptive writing.

Great for a book teaser

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would totally recommend Elixir to a friend! I loved the story line here. Hillary did great with setting the scenes and personalities. Then from the first chapter she begins to reel you in to the story with the intrigue of what's really going on.

What other book might you compare Elixir: First Chapter to and why?

I can't really compare it to any other book I've read.

Did Julia Whelan do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes she did a great job differentiating the characters. Each character had there own unique personality thateither made you love them or immediately question their integrity and involvement in the story.

Was Elixir: First Chapter worth the listening time?

Yeah it really is worth it, but be prepared to be get hooked and want to listen to the whole book!

Any additional comments?

It's great that she used such unlikely characters and situations mixed in with reality. It have it so much more of an edge and intrigue that constantly kept you guessing what was going to happen next.

One Chapter-great

This was created in 2010? Why has the full audiobook not been added within 12 years? Absolutely crazy- I downloaded an audiobook competitor to listen to the full book-very strange.

For the review: I love Hilary duff books. All three kept my interest. I never put them down. I was pretty excited when I saw the audiobook….quickly disappointed when I saw one chapter. Come on audible…let’s get all three books and the entire book.

Eh

I only was able to get a sample of this Hilary Duff book, so I don’t have enough to make a decent judge of the good or not greatness of this story.
The reason I write this review is because Julia Whelan is the narrator and she is such an excellent narrator so I want every book I come across that’s narrated by her to get excellent ratings, as far as performance and narration are concerned.
Thank you Julia for your soothing voice!

Ehh

I feel like it needs more storyline and one chapter doesn’t cut it. Would have wanted another chapter or two for more context to get hooked

Amazing but where is the rest of the audiobook??

It was amazing but I wanted the whole book not only the first chapter. I LOVE Julia Whelan's voice. This trilogy is addictive! I read this book in 2010, I reread it again in 2016 to continue with the series and again I finished it so quickly in a day and a half. All the while imagining a movie starring Hilary Duff in it. Such a good book. There is a love triangle, adventure, lots of locations, friendship, reincarnation, immortality, soul mates, family, grieve, and thriller. Perfect book!

Good writing, interesting story, unique characters

I became a fan of Hilary Duff from watching the series Younger. Besides acting successfully, she is a talented author. I hope she puts more works out into the Audible universe. 😃

extremely intriguing....

I really enjoying it except for the cliff hanger at the end....
this book could have been alot longer and could go into a trilogy with the plot. I hope she continues for sure!
